Default Newbie looking for support

Hi,
I'm 51 years old 5 feet tall, and 70lbs overweight - I knew I was getting big but I didn't realize how bad it was until I saw a picture that my niece took at Christmas
I was horrified! I started back on the old WW program on Dec 28(books that have been sitting in a drawer for 11 years) - it worked back then - but I went back to my old habits and slowly started putting the weight back on. Now I am coping with that weight, plus all of the pounds that started pouring on with the onset of menopause, and the beginnings of Insulin Resistance. I'm afraid that I can't do it- and now my health is being threatened, so I MUST!!
Your stories are all so encouraging...so here I go again!

PS I'v lost 6 pounds so far

Welcome!
I'm new here as well. I've been browsing and there's a great support system here. And you seem motivated so I'm sure you can do it. Good luck!

Hi there! You have a soulmate in Texas wanting to get back in shape at age 54 (oh wait, just turned 55 last week)!

I've done it before so I hope I can do it again. I hauled all the exercise equipment out of the closet and set it up in front of every tv.

I want to lose about 20 pounds and I want to xomplete a 10K fun run in under 40 minutes. I know lots of young people would laugh at that goal because they can already do it, but for me it will be a challenge.

Good luck to you!

Annie
