YOU ARE NOT GIVING UP!! By coming here, you are taking a step, and that is pretty important.
It may sound hokey, but since you realize you are an emotional eater, Make a list now, about what you can do when the stress hits. Maybe go for a walk, write, take up knitting, jump up and down, etc... Maybe that will help.
For me, the problem is boredom. so, now I read (alot....too much) I do some crochet, and recently, I have become a little obsessed with this forum.
