Default New here and new to HMR...

Hey guys! I'm 28, married to an awesome guy, but unfortunately really obese. But not for long because I'm starting HMR tomorrow! I went to the information session at one of my local hospitals today and nearly fainted when I saw the prices, lol. BUT, I decided to go on the At Home program so I don't have to pay an arm and a leg for the doctors and classes. So I decided that I do need some type of support so I came here first. I was dead set on getting Lap Band surgery until yesterday when my insurance company told me that there was no way that they would be paying for it. So I followed some of the other lap band members and came here.

Anyway... thanks for the support in advance!

Hi and welcome,
I am thinking of trying HMR as my friend did really well on it. She didn't want to explain it or talk about it for some reason that is beyond me. I will be very eager to hear about how you like it and details on your progress. Are you doing the shakes and food or shakes only where you make your own evening meal? The one meal on your own is good because it cuts the $$$ but I wonder if it would be too tempting to eat too much. Good luck.

Is this a long term plan that you always do for life? Or do you stop at some point? I hope they provide some assistance with transitioning back to eating healthy balanced meals if there is an end point so that you stay as fabulous and healthy as you can possibly be. All the best.

I have been doing the HMR medically supervised shake fast for 27 days. I've lost 20 lbs. I've been blogging what it is like to be on the fast...I blogged about my decision and my thoughts before I started. It has been such a journey so far. Your welcome to get a glimpse of what it is like!

Hi raven...I'm new around here too. I'm doing South Beach. I don't know what HMR is. I hope it works for you. Good Luck!
