Hi Everyone,

I'm new to 3FC and wanted to introduce myself. I've been reading through the forums for the last few days and seeing all the support and the thoughtful and knowledgeable advice is really encouraging.

I've been struggling with obesity and diets for most of my life (since age 6). Now at 49 I'm at long last feeling calm about the weight release process in a way I never have before. I've just started the Ideal Protein (IP) diet and I intend this truly to be my last weight loss diet. I'm on day 11 and so far, so good. As of yesterday (first weigh-in), I'm down 8lbs--yippee! Only 200-odd to go.

I am SO looking forward to getting my life back, getting my mobility back, and being able to dance again! Since I've never been a slim person before, I'll be heading into some completely uncharted waters, which is both exciting and scary. Knowing you're all here with support and the good counsel of those who have gone before is giving me a great feeling of relief with the knowledge that I need not go it alone!

I'm looking forward to being part of this community. I plan to participate with a number of forums and the 300+ club. I've already been studying the extensive recipe collections--WOW! I'm so glad I found you!

Welcome and good luck on your journey! 3FC is a great source of support, so make yourself part of all of the forums you feel comfortable in; you're bound to meet a lot of great people
