Default Another new fat chick!

Hello everyone! I'm pleased to meet you all. I just signed up for a blog yesterday and have been posting, then made my way over to the forums.

This is the second time in my life that I am in a position where I need to lose a serious amount of weight. I've lost 100+ lbs before, then over a period of about 5 years I gained it back + about 50 lbs.

I'm on day 4 of my new venture and am down 10 lbs so far. of course I have a lot more to go, but that is very encouraging, at least.

I hope to meet some good people to share with, find some new blogs to read, and find some more inspiration here at 3FC.

Welcome.congratulations on the weight you have lost so far! I suggest you look for a Support Group or Challenge to join; a small group of friends to help keep you motivated, find one that inspires you or fits your needs, and just post to join.

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome!

As to the questions for what I have done thus far, I have cut out soda (coke) and have been making healthier meals and trying to make better choices. Really anything is a better choice than what I was doing so far and I think the initial drop is due to that and the lack of soda, etc.

Hi there! I just joined tonight.. I, too, have a long ways to go, but have lost about 30 since January, which is a huge encouragement! I gained a little bit back over the summer.. but kickin' it back into gear NOW! =) Are you working out at all?

So far I have just been walking more and trying to stay more active. I just got my gym membership back and active so today will be my first day of actually working out! I think I am going to try swimming and weight training at first. How about you?

Hi everyone,
I picked up the 3FC book at the library, and now just joined. I am doing Weight Watchers and have been going to meetings for over a year and a half. I have been losing and gaining the same 5 lbs for the past 8 months,but really want to get back on track. I hope to find some new ideas and support on this site, and am looking forward to getting to know some new fellow fat chicks!

I too am new here. Congrats on the weight loss! I've tried all kinds of websites that say they will support you but this one seems to really do what it says.
