Hi. im new and I live in Arizona. Im looking for support; so that it might help me in lossing this weight I have carried since I was a kid. I have always been overweight, and Im sick of it. I want to be able to fit in normal clothes, to be more active with my four year old son, to be truly happy for once.
I'm looking for a support forum for those of us who weigh between 219 - 200 pounds on Atkins. I need a 2Teens group, I think. I can find other weight ranges, but can't find this range. I'm working on getting past that 200 pound mark.
Welcome, Kori. I suggest you look for a Support Group or Challenge to join; a small group of friends to help keep you motivated, find one that inspires you or fits your needs, and just post to join.
One thing I like about this site in particular is that there are a fair amount of maintainers here who are doing really well. Some of them gained the weight in adulthood, but some were also overweight their whole lives and decided to change themselves and their lives once and for all. If you go to the Goal section of the forum you can find where some of them have posted their stories. Definitely worth checking out -- very motivational and inspirational.
thanks for the great welcome, I dont have a lot of money so finding things that work that is either free or cheap is extremely hard. my father is diabetic so we cook low carb meals for dinner, but its the morning and afternoons that are killers, but I have a bad habit of eating after like 10 at night. Soda is my addiction, but other than that I don't eat a lot of junk so Ill search around and see what I can find around here.
Welcome! It can be done cheaply it does just take some figuring but when you want something bad enough you can totally do it. Ahh the soda, nasty stuff it is. Many folks manage to kick it along with the weight and you can totally do this.
