I'm from California--but I go to school in Connecticut (freshman, undeclared major). I have type 1 diabetes and i really really really want to get my a1c down so i can join the peace corps after college.

I'm very low-key, usually suuuper laid back, but I have my problems.
(MAY TRIGGER??)
I had anorexia my freshman year of high school, but i was never diagnosed. The doctors attributed my weight loss to the diabetes, which was diagnosed 3 months after the end of my freshman year, so....that was fun.

I also suck at focusing on schoolwork.




anywayyyy... I'd like to get back to the way my body was before anorexia, and I don't want to do it in any hurry/too rigidly because the ABSOLUTE LAST THING I WANT is to relapse into disordered eating. no. thank. you.

Hi Ana

This is a great place to hang out and lose weight! Patience is the key for me, and getting right back on track when I slip up has been really important, too.

Cruise around all the different forums and start meeting other people. I'm sure you're finding the Diabetes support now that you're here.

I come here and visit instead of eating things that hinder my progress.
