Default I'm new here but old everywhere else

Hi, Just joined the site. I have dieted on my own for the past week and doing ok - cutting out almost all white carbs and counting every calorie on a spreadsheet staying under 1800. I feel quite a bit better already with just that much change. Think I am down about 5 lbs - only 95 to go

I was inspired to lose this weight when I flew recently and had to ask for a seatbelt extender - also turning 60 soon - it's now or never.
I'm looking forward to checking in and I can use all the support I can receive.

Haha, love the unique thread title.. Welcome!

If you are online a lot, you should try an online calorie counter like TheDailyPlate or FitDay, I find them to be a lot faster/quicker than doing it manually which means I do a better job of keeping up with it.

I hear you on the flying. I travel and fly a ton, and I got to the point where I was really really uncomfortable (and knew I was making others the same) and maxing out the seatbelt. One of the first ways I knew I was losing a little weight was the way I fit into those very fixed seats

Good luck!

welcome welcome!

I'm here too cuz I don't want to never have the chance to feel thin, since I've been overweight all my life.

All the way to you! =)
