Smile Ready for 2010!

Well 2009 wasn't such a great year for me but I'm hoping 2010 will be one of the best!! I've been overweight for years on again and off again gaining and losing and I'm just tired of it. I think being older now ( just turned 25 in the fall) has made me realize a quarter of my life is gone and I want to be there for the other 75 cents of it! So I'm determined to lose this gosh darn weight. I try and I'm sometimes successful but once I start losing a lot I think its ok to have maybe some dessert this week or maybe a slice of pizza or two and not work out today and then I'm back to square one. I've never had a really good support system so I'm hoping maybe this can keep me in check really hoping and maybe there's something on here that can really make me want to achieve my goal. So I hope to meet some really awesome people. It def looks like an awesome place from what I can tell already! Best of hopes and dreams to you all in the New Year!

Peace love and Gaga!

Hi Patchouligroove!
Hey, many of us know that story, lose only to gain it back (and sometimes more)-I wasn't that pleased with 2009 myself - but we're here now, no looking back, no beating ourselves up, just moving forward - the support you need is here - we'll all be here to cheer you on.

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated and inspired - you'll be a wonderful addition to any of them - perhaps the 20 somethings forum might be of interest to you.

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here a few months myself, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of going off track or giving up. It has made all the difference in my success so far.

So welcome - you 've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!

All the best - good luck with your goals - 2010 has got to be the year,
Lee
