Smile Just wanted to say “Hello”!

Hello!

My name is Annie, and I’m new here

Currently I’ve been dieting for three weeks, and I’ve lost 4 pounds. Well, it might be more, because I’ve only weighed myself once, and that was after the first week. Christmas was rough on me food wise (by choice and peer pressure, of course ), so I’ve decided to postpone the next weigh-in until New Years Eve.

Soooooo, what have I done so far? I’ve joined a gym and started a diet. What more can one person possibly do in three weeks? Beats me

Oh. Yeah. And I got a new sports bra. Grew out of the old one. Sad, but true.


My diet is low-everything; low salt, low fat, low carb, low sugar. Well, no sugar really. And only good-carb. So really only low in salt and fat, but still, Low-Everything-Diet is a more catchy name, me thinks.

I’ve now introduced myself, and now I shall continue on with reading what ya’ll have been writing here – thank you!

Howdy Annie!!! Sounds like your off to a great start. Christmas was hard on lots of us I think. I started a blog on wordpress also through 3fc. You should be able to put the link right in your profile I think. Here is to a happy , healthy, fitter 2010!

Congrats on your success so far - Sounds like you're off to a great start with your low-everything diet (you've gotten a lot done in 3 weeks - the support you need is here - we'll all be here to cheer you on.

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated, inspired and entertained! There's also info and first hand advice on different eating plans and exercise to help get through the ups and downs.

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here a few months myself, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of cheating or giving up.

So welcome - you 've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!
