Hello everyone,
This is like my second real time trying to lose weight. I was 135 when I graduated high school and then I had my first son and gained about 75 pounds. I lost some of the weight and then had my second child. It has been almost 6 years since my second son was born and I really want to get this excess weight off.
I have been going at this for a little over a week. I have been doing cardio exercise for about 30 minutes a day (sometimes I can only handle 20) but it seems to make me a little happier. I have been trying really hard to stay under 1200 calories a day and under 20 grams of fat a day. I don't know if these are good goals to aim for but I guess I will see.
I really needed to find a forum to join for some support. People in my family lose weight but they are not really overweight and I would like to have someone to talk to on here that is in my boat and understands what I am going through.
Anyway, thanks for reading this and good luck to everyone.
Hey, fellow Ohioan! Our stats are fairly similar. I gained 85 with my baby and am having trouble losing it. Good news: you can eat more and still lose. It's actually not healthy to eat less than 1200 calories/day - your body will go into starvation mode. Good luck!!!
Good luck! & Welcome! I have been doing Weight Watchers for about 5 weeks now, and I really have to get excercise into my routine, so I think it's great your working excercise in along with a healthy diet.
