Talking Hello from UAE

I hope I found a place that supports me. I've been battling with the bulge for over a year now. I have a 1 yr old son and a 15 yr old daughter. I wanna get the motivation to loose this weight. I'm even to shy to say how much I need to loose! Cause honestly! I only know my weight in kilos! and I like it that way! I would have an attack if I knew it in pounds. Kilos is a smaller number..

anyways, let's get started. I'm ready to get healthy.:yog a:

Is U.A.E. the United Arab Emirates?

Welcome, by the way, of course! Don't be afraid of the number... You have to know where you started in order to know how far you've come later. Don't be shy!

P.S. Way to go, Bargoo!! You must feel amazing!

Hi Miskha.

I'm in the UAE as well. I prefer my KG weight too but had to bite the bullet and figure it out. I'm pleading ignorance on how that then translates from just lbs to stones and lbs!

Do you ever walk around safa park?

Hello and welcome The one friend I discuss my weight with only works in KG so I always have to convert for him. Here in the UK we talk in stones which I prefer to knowing my whole weight in lb The good thing abotu lbs over kug's is the pounds do go down more quickly then the kgs do. Also measuring your weight in different ways gives you more minigoals to make

(There's 14 lb in a stone by the way )

Hi mishka!
Sounds like you are ready to go and are determined so let's get started!

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated, inspired and entertained!

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here a short time myself, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of cheating or giving up.

So welcome - you 've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!
