Red face hi there

Hi there everyone. I am new here. I am married and have a couple kids. I have been heavy my whole life and really need to do something about it. My mom just passed away from complications of diabetes.... I need to learn from her and take care now. I am excited to have found this forum for support and friends who understand what is going on and how difficult it can be. I look forward to getting to know you all and making some new friends.

Hi there, Denicipoo -

There are so many spots to investigate here. We have groups by age range, amount to lose, eating plan, etc. We also have support groups and challenges that anyone can check out. So take some time to explore the forum - you're sure to find one spot or many that are a perfect fit for you.

After that, just jump on in and keep posting. Can't wait to get to know you better!

I'm very sorry to hear about your mom!

Your on the right track to getting YOUR life back......your right weight loss is HARD....but somewhere on here I saw the coolest signature..it said...Being fat is hard, eating healthy is hard, exercising is hard.....Choose your hard!

Its a choice and I'm glad you have made the right one ....and you have come to a great place to help you stick with it!!!

Thanks for the welcome. My plan for nutrition is to follow a low carb diet. My sugars do well when i follow low carb and i feel so much better. as for movement we just got a wii fit.. fun fun and i am gonna start getting out and walking in the mornings. So far that is the plan.

Welcome Denicipoo!

There's a low carb sub forum which you can check out.
http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/foru...ysprune=&f=117

I know what you mean about feeling better with low sugar.
Cutting out refined sugar was possibly one of the best things I've ever done.

I hope you stick around

denicipoo - The plan you have put together sounds like a good one so far......check out the South Beach Diet forum....they have some GREAT low carb recipes for all different meals and levels of low carb.....

The only advice I have for you.....and take it for what it is worth.....is when you hit a bump in the road don't give up....just look at what it is that seems to derail your good intentions and fix it.....if you need help come here for suggestions! Also, gradually increase your exercise amounts and levels so you don't plateau as easily!
