Hey all,
I am getting ready to finally (FINALLY!!!) get serious and lose the weight. As a high school athlete I was always a little bit chubby but when I graduated and started college and began to hit the dining hall instead of the gym my weight ballooned. At this point I have a good 100+ pounds to lose and am still trying to decide what weight loss program I want to go with so any recommendations are appreciated!! I really need something easy to take along as I am on the go constantly!
Thank you to all and hi! I hope this is the beginning of a long and happy weight loss story.

Hey Alyssa -

I have SEVERAL recommendations. We have groups by age range...20-somethings, 30-somethings, etc...that are not specific to any particular plan. So look therer and see what people are doing. You can do the same in the 100 lb club - it also isn't plan specific.

Many people here are big on calorie counting, because you can do it for free, anywhere, with a bigger or smaller emphasis on nutrition, depending on how you structure your day. So look at the Calorie Counting forum.

So look around, settle in, and get to posting. Can't wait to get to know you better!

I'm not a huge calorie counter, although it is an excellent method of weight-loss. I am more into making healthy choices, eating more living foods (fruits/veggies) and little or no processed foods (chips, etc.) as well as incorporating exercise... I just want to say Good Luck and you will find this site very helpful and motivating!!! xoxoxo
