Hi! I'm new to 3fc. My sister Vixjean brought me here.
She's been motivating me to begin walking...I'm loving it. I'm up to 2 miles a day now, and my short term goal is 5K a day.
I'm short, (but not as short as my sister...haha). Only 4'11 (can I count the "and 3/4"??) My heaviest weight was over 200...but I'm not sure how much. I was pg at the time with my 4th child, but stopped looking at the scale when I hit 200.
Post baby, I saw 197...but post-post baby I saw 202.8 on the scale. THAT was my breaking point.
I'm still nursing my toddler, so I'm not wanting to loose more than 1 or 2 lbs a week...which is the healthy way anyway. I've been walking for 3 weeks (less a week of being REALLY sick!!) So far, I'm down to 200.4 I'm pretty proud of myself...and Vix for helping me lose!
This place is very helpful and supportive, and I hope you'll find lots of motivation here.
It's great that your sister is helping you. Mine has been my biggest supporter. And her kids (my nephews) are probably my biggest inspiration to lose weight and get healthy. I just want to always be here for them, and have the energy to play with them and to not be an embarrassment to them as they get older.
We can do it if we stick together! Congratulations on taking the first steps! Way to go!
