Talking I'm no newbie ^^;

I'd love to say I'm new to this dieting thing but that would be lying. Every member of the female race is never new to dieting, we've all denied ourselves that piece of cake or spoon of ice cream.....then binged on some other junk later.
Well, some info about me I'm 15 (16 in June) and I'm not entirely happy with my size, which is weird because I used to be amazingly happy...... I'm 5'2" and a size 12/14. I don't really care about my dress size as long as I'm at a healthy weight my goal right now is around 115lbs from 142 so I have almost 2 stone to lose.
I'm vegetarian and have a lot of fruit veg and fibre in my diet so I think my problem is not realising how much I eat, so I need somewhere to write down what I'm eating and I can get some help and support when I have a problem.
Also, running is a no no for me (bad genes = bad legs) I walk a lot already to and from school, about 1.5 miles each way, but I'm gonna try and get more exercise in my day.
Can't wait to start posting and making some new friends, wish me luck!

Hi Clare!

I wish you were new to dieting too! You are right that obsessing about calories seems to be a birthright for women, but it shouldn't be. It sounds like you have a pretty good perspective on it, though. I wish I had been as aware of my health at your age - I'm in my late 20s now, and I think of all the damage I've done to my body and psyche that I could have prevented!

Anyway, glad to meet you, and hope to see you around!

Clare, welcome to 3FC!

If you're looking for a place to start, you might like the Vegetarian Chicks (on the Food forum), or UK Fat Chicks on this (Support) forum. Of course, cruise the forums, and jump in any place that looks good to you! Best of luck in your weight loss!
