Smile Hello

Hi-Ladies
I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a 30yr female. I'm at 226 as of this morning. I'm a short girl only 5'2 and I've noticed as I moved along in years my body cannot handle the weight like it use to. My knees ache and I just feel sluggish. My family has a big history of heart disease caused in part by most of us being on the larger side. I want to avoid some health issues and be in a healthier body. I'm doing this because I LOVE ME. I'm not doing this because I'm a horrible, ugly fat person. I'm doing this because I'M WORTH IT. I had one of those moments a few days ago that made me realize I can't hate the weight off. I have to love myself enough to get healthier. I just wanted to share my personal moment. I know you will understand were I'm coming from!

Hi TL we have a lot in common we are around the same age, height, and weight. My mother and father has diabetes and high blood pressure.

My mother had a stroke back in January which really was a shocker and a eye opener, watching my mother struggle trying to regain somewhat of a normal life, I dont want to go down that same road.

I have really packed on the pounds and my body is objecting very loudly my knees and ankles ache and my back reminds me every day I really need to lose weight. So I know exactly where you are coming from.

I am with you all the way because I love myself too and we both deserve to have a better life and I will be cheeringfor you everyday and sending willpower and motivation prayers out for the both of us.

Minus the age I can definitely relate as well My parents are both overweight and diabetic, and their health problems just keep piling up as the years go on. I don't want that road, either. I want to nip this problem in the bud while I can, and I admire you for looking at it objectively-- loving yourself and not "hating the weight off". That's probably the biggest change I'm working on-- not feeling so insecure and upset with my appearance.

So, welcome aboard! Hope this forum provides you with the encouragement and support you need ^_^

Tl , hi and welcome.
You are making the best decision, because I have had that knee pain, back pain, swollen feet. You are 9 yrs younger than me, and I am glad you desire to change. good luck on your change. You can do it!!!

WELCOME. I wish I would of had a forum like this back when I was in my thirties. I might have take this weight off 15 years earlier. But no real regrets. I'm taking it off now and I'm glad you found this place so you can too.
