I am totally new to this site, but not to the world of losing weight. I have 80 lbs. I would like to lose. I will be applying for a medical assistant program this month, but really, who wants to go to a healthcare provider that is overweight? My doctor suggested that I join WW but due to the cost I cannot. I belong to a gym and would rather keep that expense. I am hoping to find support here for this battle, as my family does not understand my struggle. They say, well, no one is forcing you to eat. Maybe this will be the help that I need.
Hi, welcome and good luck. I was studying CNA and passed the class, but did not pursue the state certificate, partialy because of my weight, I just felt I couldn't move like I should, and set a bad example in the medical field.
I just count calories and exercise, it is working slowly, and I accept( on most days) that it is gong to take time to take off. I suggest reading the different groups on the board and find where you want to be, you can find lots of information and help here. Good luck again. Cheryl
Hello, welcome!
I know what it's like to have a less than supportive family. I said the other day, "I'm going for a jog tonight" and my parents were like, "how long will this diet last" Then, they'll bring me in a meal from the Chinese. Grrrr, it's infuriating.
Not very encouraging either!!
Everyone here is lovely, so you'll find lots of support and useful information
