Hi! I am Ardissa from Sudbury, Ontario in Canada. I am married, (2nd time), have two wonderful teen boys, and run a home business as a Reflexologist/Massage Practitioner. I have over 100 lbs to lose and feel very overwhelmed at times that I won't be able to lose the weight. I am hoping to be inspired by all you wonderful people and in turn inspire others.
I've been overweight since age 5, had gastroplasty (stomach stapling) in '87, lost 150 lbs and gradually put it all back on (quit smoking, had 2 children and was married (1st marriage)to an alcohol/drug abuser. I am a food addict, comforting myself with food over any little thing. I want a life without the constant obssession over food. I want good health and energy to do all I want to do in this life. And I want to feel and look good.
The programs I like to follow are Dr Phil's UWLS, Truestar for Women, Bob Green's books, Walk Away The Pounds, and a few others. I am happy to have found this site thanks to my family doctor who suggested I read "O"'s article referring to this site.

Glad to have you here! There are many, many stories of amazing weight losses here. It takes determination, but it is also nice to have support. You will find that here! All you have to dois post a question or answer someone else's post and you are on your way to TONS of encouragement and interesting ideas!

YOU CAN DO THIS! I once weighed 275. I took it a day at a time and journaled my thoughts, my dreams, and my successes. I added exercise after I had lost about 20 pounds and felt more secure and also LIGHTER!
