Default New and shaking my way thru

Hi all! I am so happy i found this site!I started my journey on 1/8/07 although it has not been easy
i have been lurking through for some time.
What inspirations others are on this site to me ,

I am a wife and mother of four young children who finally realised i have to do something about my weight, so now is the time. I have always been the bigger sibling in my family but after my third child my weight has been out of control and to make it worse i never lost any weight after my fourth child. I am so tired of not having any energy to interact with my small children.
Well i started this change and i have a ways to go i have started working out 6 days a week and cut my calories down to 1200 a day
and cut all sodas out of my diet which is really hard for me because i hated water.
I pray that i find the strength to keep going and to start feeling good about myself.

Hello and welcome to the greatest site on the web! I don't know what I would do if it wasn't for 3fC! Well, since you said you've been lurking, you probably have noticed that this is the best place to find the encouragement you need...REAL PEOPLE who are going through the same thing you're going through--and some of the pictures and stories you will see are very inspiring. This site helps me to stay motivated and I hope it helps you as well.Good luck as you embark on a journey to help yourself We're glad you came here!

Welcome NurseTee, This is a great site. Look around and feel free to jump in anywhere.

Just curious, why did you decide to go so low on your starting calories? I started out well over 300 lbs and I was able to eat around 1800 - 1900 calories and still lost at a good rate. Even now, I still eat around 1600 per day. It's not as much of a struggle for me as it would be if I could only eat 1200 per day.

Congratulations on making this change while your kids are still young, by the way. I wish I had started sooner.

Thank you for the welcome!

Well Jtammy I was told that i should be eating between 1200 and no more than 1500 calories
a day so far so good. I try to keep between that range.I never thought drinking the required amount of water would help me feel so full.
By the way you look great!

I agree. I eat around 1600 a day and still lose weight. 1200 sounds too low to me.

Thanks NurseTee! Water certainly helps me too. Looking back, I probably ate many times when I was really thirsty.
