Default Beck Diet Solution Daily Tips

  • Think Thin Thursday

When things feel hard, focus on the skills you can do and consider making the rest optional for the time being. That way, you won’t constantly have the feeling that you’re not doing what you’re supposed to be doing. Repeat after me: I can do this!
  • Wednesday Sabotage

Sabotaging Thought: My eating has been so bad lately, I’ll just wait until [Monday/next month/the fall/when things calm down/when my kids go to camp…] to get back on track.

Response: Absolutely not! I will get back on track right now because every minute I eat off track is another minute I don’t feel good. Getting back on track is hard, but being off track (and all the negativity that comes with it) is hard, too. It’s worth it to work on it now!

I wish there was a "like" button aka Facebook. Thanks Lisa. I needed that.

Good stuff as usual Lisa! Thanks!

Boy we just spent a hot hot day at the Houston Zoo with the 3yr old grand daughter. I am pooped. And starving. Trying to make up for the water I sweated out will help curb the hungries until supper, which will be a simple chef salad because I can't cook right now. Well, I take that back - I could cook, I just can't wash or run any water into the main drain. Grease trap woes for those that may be living in the boonies like me; we have our own septic system and what has clogged it up must have been festering in there for a while. All fat and gunky grease from before i started eating cleaner with IP! Just knowing that same stuff had been going into my body kind of sickens me. I know my arteries are thanking me for changing my eating habits! And now my septic system should be, too, once all this yuck is gone!

Wow: I am no longer hungry after looking at all that gunk. I'll eat later...

Just had to share! Saw the 170's (albeit 179.0) on the scale at weigh in today! The lowest I've been in awhile! About 5 years ago I got down to 176. The last time I was under 176 was 20-30 years ago! So seeing the 170's again is a BIG DEAL for me!

Nice job 3Sisters!

Out of curiosity, what are the two tickers in your signature for? I see you're keeping both up to date... Is one of them a countdown to weighing less than the last time you dieted?

Looks like 3Sisters' total goal and her mini goal of 5 pounds at a time...
Congrats by the way, 3S!

Hi All

Quick check in... Started IP on Wed. I decided to "shop around" for a clinic and coach... I had called around and sort or "interviewed" a few coaches over the phone and there were a few that I just did not get a good vibe from... But I wound up finding a clinic that I really like... It's part of of a sports medicine and physical therapy practice... Everyone there was very nice, so I think I found what I hope will turn out to be a good fit...

Anyway... got off to a great start and then yesterday I get a call from my Dad that my brother had become disoriented and was taken to the ER... So I rushed to the hospital to find my poor brother completely out of it... apparently, he has some sort of infection they think from a small surgical procedure he had a couple of weeks ago... So they decided to admit him, which of course took forever... And I wasn't feeling too hot myself since all I had was a couple of IP packets... Lol.. So I decided to try and tough it out... I didn't go off plan... I just ate a couple of extra of packets...

So I'm off to hospital now... I'll take a few packets with me... and I'll just do my best to stay on plan...

Default Beck Diet Solution Daily Tip

Friday Weekend Warm-up:

Remember, after a long week you do deserve to treat yourself but you also deserve to lose weight and be healthier and happier, so that treat just can’t come in the form of [extra, unplanned] food. What are some non-food ways you’re going to treat yourself this weekend?

Hi all I'm new to 3FC, this forum and just starting on IP! I know I saw some type of conversion chart for the weights of vegees, I.e.how much does one cup of bell peppers weigh? I have spent an hour looking for it again, can someone point me in the right direction? TIA
