Default Beck Diet Solution Daily Tip

Reality Check

"A very common sabotaging thought is, “Just this one time won’t matter,” but regardless of the situation, every time DOES matter. Every SINGLE time you withstand a craving, resist emotional eating, and say no to unplanned food, you increase the chances you will the next time. Each time you give in, you increase the chances you will give in the next time, too."

Good morning all! I'm back and ready to do this again!

I've had everything ready to go for the past week (received products from Nashua, have fresh veggies, etc), but it has been a rather emotional time. We put our cat to sleep on Friday after he had been sick for months. He was 14 and so full of love; I had him over half my life and I'm still really struggling. I'm also in the middle of my TOM but I figured - stop making excuses, there will always be a reason not to start on any given day but I'm ready. Third time is a charm!

Great words of wisdom both yesterday and today. Have not posted in the last couple of days.....TOO BUSY with work and exhausted when I get home. Wishing I would start to change sizes faster. That's why yesterday was so good for me to read. Seeing all these cute clothes online and wanting to wear them! Getting measured tomorrow!

Wishing everyone a fabulous day! It's 80 here, and my toes got a little sunburned yesterday!

Good morning! Day 10 for me. I was looking online at recipes last night. What are some of your favorites? I have tried stir fry. Really like it. Does anyone have a good soup recipe that is IP P1 friendly?

Hope everyone has a great OP day!

Is there an average time frame for diet fatigue to set in? I'm trying to mix up my packet and meal routine to try to ward it off. I find myself craving fresh fruit (berries, kiwi and bananas!). Maybe it's just the winter doldrums. If anyone has words of wisdom, I'd appreciate them.

Lisa I love today's quote! Is that from the beck book? I really need to pick that up for my mom and I!

etherbunny I think everyone's different with diet fatigue but it seems a lot of people get it right now. I wonder if it's because we pushed through the hard holiday season and all of the obstacles and now that there aren't any our brains and willpower mucles aren't working as hard so we start to have cravings? I could be completely off base with that one. Maybe you could set yourself a mini goal with a reward at the end to help push you through!! I.e. if I lose 5 lbs I'll get an express mani or something else that works for you? Maybe just taking some time to journal and reflect on your feelings and what's going on in your life might help too. There might be something going on that you aren't even completely aware of that may become apparent with some self reflection and journalling? Or maybe go for a light walk, I always find light exercise helps me with my cravings. Hopefully you can push through this!

I think Kimo's right. For me personally it's a combo of the weather, and time spent on the diet.

Also, does your clinic carry the banana-strawberry drink? (it's a pre-made) It's one of my faves and helps me when I want something fruity.

So WI #1 (due to illness) but WK#2 and I am down 5.2Lbs. Way more than I anticipated. Seeing the scale movement (down) feels very gratifying

Lisa: Love that quote, makes total sense!
Readytolive: Sorry about your cat, those times are tough, and you can do this
Sgrealtor1: I have a buffet dinner in a month and am not looking forward to it but am going to conquer it, lol.. you got this!
MizBeadz: I wish I could feel sorry for your toes but it's so cold here that I don't, lol.
etherbunny : As far as the diet fatigue goes, maybe try baking, add in something new, try new recipes or products. The strawberry banana pre-made is really yummy!
rebelgrl87: Congrats on day 10, I am on day 21 today and I haven't really tried any recipes yet. A few things I tried I wasn't in love with.
Megan2: COngrats on your loss

It's day 21 for me and I thought by now I would be bored of this, but it actually is fun for me. I like having choice and trying new things. If I wasn't doing this I would of already had a bowl full of fishie crackers smothered in cheddar, lol and thought to myself, ahh it's no biggie, I work out! LOL

I think I am going to switch coaches, I find I relate to the other one more. Other than that, I went to crossfit yesterday and it felt amazing. Had an extra IP pack and I wasn't depleted nor hungry. I am looking forward to keeping this in my routine.

I can't take the IP supplements.. they upset my stomach, whether I take then before or after food so I'm taking a gnc pack.. my question is it comes with CLA which helps with belly fat.. but it has 45 calories in the 4 pills, should I take them? It doesn't show fat or carbs.. just the calories. I haven't been taking them but if I COULD I would love to add them into my diet since I've had success with cla before

shasta10 I just saw your post from yesterday - a puggle is a mixed breed dog, the result of a pug and beagle mating. They are fantastic little dogs, great temperament, many have longer noses so they avoid some of the respiratory issues common in pugs, they're smart little buggers too! I just love them, we told the kids last night and they are beside themselves!!

Default Day 2 of Reboot

Thanks for the tips and the index to the various threads, Lisa! I laughed when I read the abbreviations. I wouldn't normally post this, but I was thinking Perfect Storm = TOM + Day 2 Reboot. If the people around me survive the week, it will all be good!

Good afternoon IPers!!
The snow storm that wasn't really made me laugh....since I don't need milk or bread....I bought veggies Even though we only managed 3 inches, I stayed in the house all day and it lead me to an extra Quest bar I'm soooo disappointed with myself. So far, I'm OP today....just hoping I won't see my little slip on the scale on Friday....

Tomorrow is going to be very tough at school. Our dining hall is celebrating the Super Bowl with "snacks for lunch"....pizza, wings, tons of fried stuff. I worry about the little voice in my head that says "just one won't hurt"....thank you Lisa for the quote today...I'm really going to need it tomorrow!!

Wishing everyone a great OP day!
