I, too, want to experiment with protein powders. Do you have any suggestions or feedback? Anything less expensive than IP mixes?

I'm new to the IP eating plan, having success, but want to learn of some protein powder alternatives to the IP protein that cost less. Any ideas?

Check the Alternatives thread - TONS of suggestions on less expensive products that are comparable to IP, and the first post has a guideline for what the nutritional values should be on any product you are considering.

Lisa - I have a pork roast I was going to slow cook tomorrow - can you tell me what you added to the crockpot? Thanks!

Not all of those available are in the alts thread (yet). I use the ChocoLite protein packets (12 per pack) for $15. Many pharmacies sell it now, or you can buy it from HealthSmart direct.

GNC have a large range of protein shakes available. Vitamin Shoppe have a large range.

Get googling some of the offerings and do comparisons on nutritional information and taste reviews.

I know I'm not Lisa (and the question was aimed at her), but hubby just puts his pork loin roast directly into the slow cooker. It works just fine.
