I guess I am extremly lucky, I never experiance hair loss, sleep like a baby since starting this, had headaches the fist week but the salt licking my coach advised of helped and some excedrine the first few days. I am concerned with the products you guys may be supplimenting and if you are getting all the vitamins you need....

On the subject of hair loss, my sister always lost a ton of hair when she was pregnant or sick or had surgery. She would take special hair loss vitamins from the health food store and back it would come.

On another subject, I've been looking for the sugar free syrups and just went to a starbucks and yay! they had some. A HUGE bottle for $9.95. So tonight for my snack I'm having a hot chocolate with peppermint.

Hey all thanks for continuing the daily chat for a second day on this thread.

I posted a new one for today but I guess it didn't "post".

On the subject of hair loss - I didn't mean to scare anyone. I remember reading these forums when I was on P1 and it was mentioned, so I at least felt prepared for it when it hit. And to be clear, I'm taking the right amount of vitamins and supplements (too much of some can be toxic and actually worsen hair loss). There is no supplement that can prevent telogen effluvium, you can only take supplements to help your body recover and grow new hair. The hair loss didn't hit me until I was almost ready to phase off, so about 4+ months in. I lost 30 lbs - I know people here have lost less weight and had no hair loss, and there have been people who have lost more weight and had no hair loss - it's entirely individual. Just know that if it hits you, you're not alone

Congrats Aria! Is your little weightlifter going to get slimmer as she goes down the bar on your ticker?

As long as you are following IP 100% you don't need to pay attention to the numbers. I DO aim to keep my carbs under 40 net carbs a day though. It is the only number that I really really pay attention to on a daily basis.

Here is how she set it up (C&P'd from another post):

50% protein
30% fat
20% carbs
I also track fiber so I can watch that I'm not over 40 net carbs.
I don't track sugar, just carbs.
These are APPROXIMATES according to my coach and nothing to get too hung up about if they aren't perfect every day.

I plugged in 1000 cals/day max. I RARELY have that many. Usually between 750-900
Thanks Nat1015, that's what I was looking for ...I know we don't have to count really but I like to see how the numbers go have an awesome day

For those discussing hair loss issues - here is a link to a new product from Jamberry. It's a Biotin Rich Multivitamin. Not sure how it stacks up against the IP multivitamin - I haven't compared yet. It's probably similar in price. I'm going to try it once my regular multis run out. I've always had sucky hair that breaks/falls out :P

Hi all,

So here's a situation and I need advise:

I am getting married last week of jan. I am 5 1' and at 160. My current dress size is 12 and I want to get to 8. I am apple shape, carry most of my weight in my tummy.
1. Will I be able to lose 30 pounds by jan?
2. Am I setting myself up for failure?
3. I want to do the 30 day shred by Jillan. But I dont want to impede my weight loss as streneous exercise is not advisable.

I am vegetarian and my dinner protein would be eggs.

Thanks for any feedback.

Hi all! I'm Tamra I lurk on the forum often. I am just Week 4, Day 2 and down 16.2. However my first week was doesn't count per my coach as I lost 1.1 pounds. She thus considers me down 15.1 in 3 weeks -- officially. As I started at 196.2 -- I am on 4 packets per day.

My thanks to all those here leading the "weigh" down for us!

Regarding thanksgiving, I wanted to share for those wanting their cranberries -- WF has their cranberry sauce out. If you have Sprouts near you might check as in Austin they are carrying it! Haven't tasted it but hope it will help keep me OP.

Thanks and welcome to those new to IP.

30 pounds in essentially two months might be a challenge. On average I list 3 pounds a week, but it was usually 10 pounds a month. The less you gave to lose the slower it will come off. However, no other diet will give you the results of IP and since it will be fat that you lies and not muscle, you might be surprised how your body shape changes.

I'm the opposite of vegetarian. Eating my veggies was the hardest part. I don't think I could have eaten eggs every night. Are there other vegetarian protein options?
