What scorbett said!
I just double checked the ;attest protocol sheet and spinach IS definitely on both lists and so are cucumbers!

Raw is unlimited and cooked is limited (or the count toward 4 cups).

And believe I am not beyond putting cooked spinach in my shake to get rid of some veggies! I say let's go for it!

Per my coach it is cooked vs raw. Idk I used it toward the 4 cups in the old days and was sad to find this out. I'm sure the experts around here know more than my IP coach so I would go with that. Shrugs.

The actual protocol sheet only specifies raw for onions - other than that cukes, celery, spinach and mushrooms can count as either unlimited or select depending on what your body needs. This isn't my first rodeo on IP, and I know that MANY coaches put their own spin on the program....well-intended, but sometimes they make it more complicated than it needs to be

Cool. You have obviously got this. I am going with what my coach said and we all know how the coaches differ. As I already said, you must be the expert, so I would defiantly go with your advice. Please don't get defensive, it was not intended that way. I wS just stating what my coach told me. And iam not at all trying to be a pseudo coach what's so ever. My bad.

No worries! And not defensive at all...I absolutely believe most coaches have the best of intentions when they administer the program and the IP corporate training isn't the best. A coach has to fill in the gray areas as best they can. As long as our scales are all moving in the right direction, that's all that really matters

Hey fellow veggie haters - I made a great discovery tonight. I modified a beef stew crock-pot recipe, substituting turnips for both the potatoes and the carrots. By the time it was done, the turnips were the consistency of potatoes and had absorbed the flavor of the beef and spices. It was delicious! So good, in fact that I got up to check the sheet and make sure turnips were really on the select vegetable list. I am so happy to add another, really filling veg to my list!

Hi all - On the topic of veggies that are listed as both unlimited and part of the 4 cup veggie list, what about radishes? I see them on both lists that I was given 2 weeks ago.

My coach has never clarified and I gave never asked but I count celery towards my 4 cups all the time as I did before the sheet change, but if I go over, I don't worry about it because celery is also free. Radishes would be the same if you eat them raw.

Roasted radishes almost make you feel like you are eating potatoes. Completely different flavour.

If the items are on both lists, you can count them either way.
Lettuce is only on the unlimited list so you don' t count that as part of your 4c.

I take it that if a veggie is on the select list, then you may count it toward your four cups. If you want MORE veggies after your 4 cups, then you may only use those on the unlimited list.
