You are looking for the protein so go for one of the lower calorie drinks. That being said, if you overdo it and find you are getting hypoglycaemic, IP recommends a restricted, but not necessarily the whole pack.

Yeah I'm still here, but not on much - lots of visitors at my house from the Eastern US and West Coast of Canada so major running around doing the 'tour guide' thing, lol. I am reading some though, to keep up with all of you, lol.

You can always add eggs & egg whites if you don't want a packet after exercise - cheaper.

That's what I was thinking, having a EAS Shake or Eggs or a Quest Bar since their loaded with Protein. I just hope ill be able to stay 100% OP during the whole wedding/Bachelorette Party! Any advice on that?

LOL that is all commitment But totally possible! I did my 20th high school reunion and stayed OP.

As far as the bachelorette party goes, bring your own snacks and stay away from the alcohol if there is drinking. Alcohol pretty much negates the effects of ketosis, because your body stops burning fat and immediately metabolizes the alcohol first. If you are going out to eat, ask for the gluten free menu and substitute any starches for extra veggies.

For the wedding, same think on the drinks, bring snacks, and talk to the bride/groom about your dietary restrictions. 99% of the time the caterer will make sure there is something safe for you to eat, but you have to give them some advanced notice. If you use words like "gluten free" and "dairy free" that will help the caterer meet your needs.

Well I guess a good thing is the caterer is my mom and me!! My 21 yr old friends are always looking at me funny when we go out for drinks and I don't drink due to my IP Diet/Lifestyle Change. I'm perfectly happy being a DD for any of the bridal party while we go out for my sisters bridal/bachelorette party. God knows they're gonna need one!

Well that certainly makes things easier!! You may want to bring along one of your favorite dessert-type bars so that you have something sweet instead of the wedding cake/dessert, but if you're making the food then you can definitely make sure there's something IP-safe on the menu

Today was a very frustrating day at work.My co-worker mad me so angry I was ready to spit nails. She has been on a diet for two years. I estimate her starting weight at about 250 or 260. She has lost 95 pounds and looks great. I was talking about going to the ASB office to see if they had any school tshirts for sale. We wear them on Fridays for school pride. I asked if she wanted to go with me to check them out. Her response " oh, I have a bunch of huge shirts that would fit you, if you want them". What!!! are you kidding me!!!!My response " I wear a size medium so, no unless you want to give your mediums to me". Ever since she has lost weight she makes comments to all us other women about how we need to lose weight. I have lost weight and her mean comments are getting really old..

OKay I'm done.

The only thing we WEIGH is raw meat. Veggies are always measured as 2 cups when raw. HOWEVER, because veggies come in all shapes and sizes that does leave a bit of inconsistency in how everyone interprets 2 cups. But IP's intention was to make it EASY for everyone all the time and measuring is what is easy!!

You CAN weigh veggies, but you will need a table of what 1 cup of each veggie equates to as a weight and that will be different for every vegetable. You can Google it to find the table.

So go back and measure your veggie cups and save yourself the time for more FUN things!

Sorry Jemma51, People are so rude sometimes its ridiculous!! Don't let her mean comments put you down, or make you lose track of how awesome you've done on your weight loss. Remember " How People Treat Others Is A Direct Reflection of How They Feel About Themselves!"

Jemma, you handled that the best way possible with the best response that I can think of. Way to go thinking on your toes. I just wish everyone could be happy with what others have done. There's another girl at my office that has lost a lot of weight and I've given her compliments and such. She is literally the only person who hasn't made a comment to me about my loss. It is what it is and I'm not letting it bother me but living a healthier lifestyle isn't a competition over who can do it better.

Um...GF....tomatoes have BEEN on the occasional veggie list. They were when you & I were on P1 in 2012. Maybe you just avoided them?
