Good morning, everyone! Today is the start of a fairly busy week for me. Things are ramping up at the church since school is starting back. We are starting back with Sunday School and youth group. This week I am designing a tag to laminate and give to the kiddos next Sunday for the annual "Blessing of the Backpacks."
In the middle of all this activity, I am going to keep focused on my water, salt, oil, and supplements.
Anyone else going to focus on the basics this week? Hope it is a good one for all of us!

Good morning! My Monday is not off to a good start - I opened a new carton of FF milk to put in my coffee and it was spoiled! And I poured it first then coffee on top without realizing so I lost the coffee. Grr!

morning,

Sounds like a busy week Gracerev. I am also going to focus on my water this week and going back to measuring my food.

JJTX - GRR that sounds like a frustrating way of starting the day.

I'm up at my parent's cottage for the week, having fun bouncing on the trampoline, swimming, reading, and hanging out with the kiddos. Just waiting for the sun to come chance the mosquitoes away so I can go for a quick 5km.

Good morning all!

Back at work for the week so starting back the routine. The weekends aren't too bad staying OP but it is so much easier when I have a schedule to work with. The weekends it's so tempting to think that I am hungry or maybe I am hungry because I am off of my schedule. I split up my dinner protein last night and ate half of it at 3:00 p.m. and the other half at 6:00 p.m.

I hope everyone has a great week.

I am hoping to make this a great week and attend to the specific details of the program intently. After more than a few weeks "wandering" I really need to focus.

What I have learned is that I need to do a lot more work on handling crises better. I did OK through it all, until the immediate crisis was over and then I fell apart and ate through the complete line of Haagen Dazs flavors. Back to the Beck Diet tape in the car.

On the positive side, our framing crew is going to the new house today and when we see it next, I should have a better perception of how the layout will look. I am not very good at translating the blue prints (not really "blue prints" any longer, they are just plans!) into reality, particularly spatially. It all looks really small in person compared to the plans!

Another week begins - I have another 3 days of 'staycation' before returning to work, and like Kissi, I do appreciate the structure of routine. But I have been able to really explore this forum, focus on learning more of the fine details of being on IP, and try out some recipes at breakfast and lunch that transform the IP packets and give some variety and fun to the foods.

I finally got my logon for the IP site and can catch up with the videos, settle on a food diary site and get that working, and like GraceRev, pay attn to the basics like water, supplements, salt and oil, and portions!

Looking forward to my 4th weigh in... Wondering if 20 lbs is a doable goal for my birthday which is Aug 20th.... Maybe it's a more realistic goal to reach by the end of my birthday month... I am expecting a low loss week might be coming soon, but - No matter - I am on program!

Tough first week back on IP. I had to figure out how to work it into my driving schedule (I drive for Uber part time). By the time I hit Saturday, I figured it out, but too late for weight loss. I'm just glad i didn't gain more than a pound! Also gotta get back to taking my supplements too! I know that's also a contributing factor.

At first I turned it down but then thought, oh it's okay, I've been good all weekend. How do I make that stop!!

Sounds like weekends are frustrating some folks

First, I plan. Plan the day. Leave nothing to chance. I know what I'm having for b, L, D, S already today and tonite I'll plan tomorrow (that way I know if I need to do any shopping)

If I'm up when everyone else is asleep and I want to eat, that is a CLEAR sign I should be headed to bed. I'm not hungry, I'm bored or tired. On this plan, I've discovered that I really shouldn't be staying up later. It brings out the late-nite munchies..

My car is a mobile office so I take a cooler with me every day. My 2c lunch veggies are in it, as are several bottles of water, some romaine lettuce torn into "chip" size, and my packets. Most days my breakfast smoothie rides along as well.

I have spare packets in my car, DH's car, and my desk at work, just in case something unforeseen arises. I learned a while ago, I can't be overly planned.

I go to bed early EVERY night on this diet. It's just easier that way. Plus the more sleep we get the better it is for weight loss. I try to eat my dinner by about 6:30 and at the latest 7. It's my most filling meal of the day so I want a couple of hours to let it settle before I get in bed (I know the recommendation is to not eat after 8).

I have spare packets all over the place. I ordered extra my first week and didn't need those extra packets during that time. I have ordered over a week here and there and probably have an abundance of 4 days worth of IP foods. My Quest Protein Chips and Bars will be in this week so I'm going to add those into the mix and then will have even more extra IP packets laying around.

I try to post in the "What are you eating today" thread in the morning to make sure I stay on that course through my day.

Texaschick, I concur, go to bed! Also, make sure your dinner is awesome! It has helped me not care so much what my family is eating, though we eat similarly each night, which also helps.

Get back on the IP horse! You're doing great! Rebound and keep moving!

I am cruising through my last weeks of summer. I started this diet in June for a reason -- I work at a school and for maximum success I wanted to start in a stress free time -- when work demands were low and life was uncomplicated. I'm doing awesome in the environment, the real test will be when I'm back at work full time and the stress returns. Hopefully I will have such strong routines at that point that I'll be "invincible". Actually kind of looking forward to the "test".

Have a great week everyone!
