It's true AL: There is no room to cheat on this diet by choosing crap for your 'points', etc. But that is also what makes it hard...we must from the start learn to change how we use food - no more soothing with food, celebrating with food, grieving with food, etc. Learning to feel that food is just fuel for our bodies so we can have wonderful life experiences (not that we can't enjoy our food, but the act of eating itself becomes less central to our being). Practice mindful eating while you are losing and maintenance will not be as much of a challenge...
