Busy day ahead but I have everything planned out so I will be 100% IP. I just love seeing the numbers on the scales go down and my jeans getting baggier and baggier!!!
Good morning all!
Up and at it already with cleaning house. Am I the only one who has two versions of clean? There's "regular" clean and then there's "my mother is coming" clean! Lol.
Not going to any picnics or barbecues today so I can stay home and be safely OP.
I hope everyone has a good day.
So I'm trying to save my 1 oz milk if I can and I tried the Premier Protein Vanilla shake again as creamer and it was so much better than the first time! I think it might have been because I used splenda in my coffee. Long story short, I'm now only using stevia because I am getting the after taste from splenda like whoa. Anyway, that shake has:
160 calories, 25 calories from fat
4g carbs - 2 from fiber = 2 net carbs
30g protein
Obviously it is very high on the protein end. So I added half the creamer to my mug of coffee and measured it out to be around 5.5oz which makes sense because it is a 11oz serving size. So in that case, I need to count the 15g of protein as one of my protein packets, yeah? This is fine with me because I've been needing to up my protein, just wanted y'all to weigh in. Thanks!

I had to laugh, my parents arrived in town on Friday- I did "my mother is coming" cleaning on Thursday!! Lol
I am on Day 3 of being ever so perfect, completely, not a finger lick, nothing! We had the teenager home after many months of not seeing him so for the one day he was here, I pampered him. Homemade waffles, PB cookies and all.
I had to keep shaking myself, stop with fingers, tasting possibilities. Did not break...
After months on my own, I took the referral of Ruth Ann for a great coach - THANK YOU!
I had gotten a bit complacent after hitting -109....no cheats but thinking I looked good, clothes fit in smaller sizes, whatever. I still have 29 pounds to go but I was almost "settling".
Coach set me straight - she mentioned that she has people coming into the clinic for the first time who are STARTING at the same weight where I am now! She reminded me that my BMI and numbers are still in a less than good range. I needed my back end kicked and she promised she will do that. Cancel an appointment and she will hound me to know why and when will she see me......
Now before anyone thinks this is terrible, I asked for it. I was too complacent and I was scared that I cannot finish on my own. I also know from reading on here than maintenance can be daunting and a real challenge, harder than losing. So I do NOT want to mess that up because I want to ensure that I keep the weight off, so I had better learn and get support from a professional who can help with the emotions and technical parts.
So, I have been 100% to the absolute letter of the law. Let's see what Friday brings me...a whoosh would be nice?
Good morning, All! So glad I found this site! Nothing much going on for me today....I'm avoiding cookouts b/c the temptation is too strong still ( I'm just 18 days in to the IP diet). So I'll just be doing some "regular" cleaning today and hanging around the house. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

You are such a rock star. I am so proud of you!!! You are making all the right decisions for your health and happiness. Way to go on staying strong with the waffles and cookies. You are going to look gorgeous in those new dresses.

I know what you mean I have been complacent also and have just kicked by own ? have been IP strong last three day and I still have lots of pounds to go.
Hope everyone has a great day, I have to go to work for awhile.
Yesterday I was a little hungrier than I have been since starting ip, and I was a little worried, but TOM started today so that explains it! I am amazed because pre-ip I had intense cravings the week before TOM. This time it just snuck up on me!
Had a better day yesterday with only having 3 packets and not feeling hungry, so thanks for all the advice!
Feeling a little dizzy when I first stand up but figure my body is adjusting.
I did have a nice NSV this morning. I was able to spend a few minutes deciding what shirt would look better on me instead of what shirt would FIT on me

You guys want to come clean my house too? I need to finish my spring cleaning and just have no motivation for it today.
Seriously though, sometimes just avoiding the temptations is the best way to go !

Hooray for avoiding the temptations while pampering your son schenectady! Go you!
And you're quite welcome! Sometimes having someone else to kick our behinds is just what we need. You'll do great!

Make sure you're getting all your salt in. Sometimes just licking it off your hand and having a glass of water will help with the dizziness.

I am definitely hungrier before TOM- hot tea becomes my good friend during what I call "the hungries".

I had a lot of dizziness if I got up quickly. Are you on any medications? After a while on IP, I was taken off my bp medicine, because my bp was too low. Also, I found that I had less dizziness if I drank some water right away.

Congrats on the NSV - isn't it fun?
Ruth Ann is right about using the salt, it really helps.
