Justjessatx: Welcome to posting lol, and yes, go for your walks, I find it's good for the emotions, and fresh air & sunshine is always important. It raises the level of endorphins, which many of us tried to get from food before we got serious about our weight/bodyfat percentages. Walking won't help you lose weight per se, but it will help you keep your muscle strength and definition or build it, if you never did any exercise before.
Depending on your personality & lifestyle, you could go for the solitary contemplation walk (briskly though) if your area is safe, or you could invite friends or your significant other for a healthy bonding session.

I've been walking and doing yoga since the second week, it is a nice addition to life, however I don't think either have boosted weight loss. I am 12 weeks in and right at 40lbs too with a lot more to lose than you lol. Walking has been great.

I haven't done ant exercise at all. I know I should, but I have been enjoying the fact that I don't have to. The weather has been so awful. It is starting to get better so doggie and I will get back at it. He has a few winter pounds to lose too!

I have been motivated by the consistent success I have had and by how easy this is. Obviously my head is in the right place too. All the stars are aligned

I can say my exercise has been minimal as well.
However I went on a course which was mainly outdoors through my company and I can say from that weekend (my coach weighs me on a InBody scale which measures everything) I lost the most fat and built more lean body mass and my basal metobolic rate went up 100 calories a day.
So this weekend I am going to get a routine going ...

Wow! You have had fantastic losses! I was very worried things would slow down that that I am getting closer to onederland but you have given me hope!

I've had a horrible weekend due to a back spasm. Lots of pain meds that have given me stomach pains. It's been very hard to eat. Not expecting to see much change this week although I have a few days until weigh in. I feel hugely bloated!

So much for my long weekend!

Going good hear...weight in is tomorrow...I think 55lbs down so far. Loving this weightloss. Just in time for summer clothes and weather. I would wear a sweatshirt in the summer just to cover up. Not this summer...it's been a long time coming.
I hope all is well with all of you ladies.

I have lost 50 pounds exactly in 12 weeks. I am still a ways off my goal weight - however I am excited about the progress so far.

44 lbs in 13 weeks with a bad weekend that essentially set me back to 12 weeks. Struggling more lately than ever, but its life events related.

3.38 pounds per week is amazing! Congrats on all your hard work Hope your struggle is less of a struggle this week!! This diet is hard when the scale doesn't move at the pace we want!

43 pounds in 14 weeks. My losses are a bit slower in the past couple of weeks (around 2 pounds per week), but I anticipated that would happen. I feel great and am so glad I found IP!

Default Wow!!!

Holy smokes, all you Feb gals are doing AWESOME!!

Good work on all your losses, I won't name names because there are so many of you...
Don't forget to look at your NSV's too, as sometimes the scale isn't always our friend, lol. Compliments received, new clothing time, smaller muffin top, better blood sugar/triglyceride levels, climbing the stairs instead of having to take the elevator, etc....

Doing the happy little cloud dance for you!!

In the past 3 weeks - I have had some weird weigh-ins and I am wondering if anyone else has experienced the same. My IP Coach says she sees this all the time - a see-sawing effect on where the weight is being lost.

Week 10 2.1 (Weight Loss) consisting of 5.7 (Fat Loss) and 3.6 (Muscle Gain)
Week 11 1.9 (Weight Loss) consisting of 2.7 (Fat Gain) and 4.4 (Muscle Loss)
Week 12 4.2 (Weight Loss) consisting of 7.2 (Fat Loss) and 3.0 (Muscle Gain)
Week 13 3.3 (Weight Loss) consisting of 2.8 (Fat Gain) and 6.1 (Muscle Loss)

I am not doing anything different each week. In fact my meals are fairly consistent week to week. Apart from walking I am not doing any strenuous exercise.

Has anyone else experienced it? My coach says I will most likely do this every week ... but wanted to know if anyone else has a similar experience and what their coach says ...
