Thanks Lisa. I am thinking I will now be ordering the proti-diet oatmeal, the healthsmart cinnamon cereal, the proti-diet cereal in honey nut soy. I am really just looking for non-restricted alts right now. Have been combing the threads like crazy and getting ideas but love suggestions directly from people.

I just read on another thread you're planning to phase off.
So, wondering why you're buying all of this??? Just curious...
Might just be easier to grab some shakes at costco or something, rather than spend all this time/effort researching.

And since you're so close to goal, I HIGHLY suggest counting borderline products as restricted.

Dang it..I just missed your promo code but I only bought one health smart item so no biggie. I ordered the health smart cinnamon oatmeal so it wouldn't have made much of a difference anyways. I am 5lbs away from phasing off. I have lost the few lbs that I gained in maintenance plus another few and I would really like to be at 125 so I can have a 5lb buffer before getting to 130 where I feel really good at and would like to maintain at. I have always hovered around 135 and because I am so short, 5lbs can really make a difference. My husband is doing two weeks of phase 1 before going to phase 3 (he only has 10 to loose) and has already lost 6 so I ordered the products for him, phase 1 days...I need to be more diligent this time around in doing them following a big meal, and also for the last week or two of phase 1 for me. I hope I can kick these last 5 in the next 10 days. TOM is here and I have stayed the same -/+1 since last Saturday so hopefully when it leaves, so will a few lbs. Perhaps by the end I will be at 128...then maybe I can loose 3lbs in phase 3.

I have two boxes of Proti Diet snacks, one being the Chipotle protein crisps, the flavor is great but they get too hot for me. The other is the Chili-Lime soy nuts and the flavor is good but the texture is not so pleasant for me. I was thinking perhaps someone who knows they like these might want them? There is six packets of each. If your interested let's talk and see about getting them to someone who will enjoy them.

This weekend I was able to find the EAS Advantedge carb control shakes in cafe carmel flavor. I love them!! Locally in S.E. WA they have been running for $4.50. The only place prior to this weekend I could find them was on amazon and they wanted double that price for the same 4pk.
Also I tried the Proti-diet oatmeal this weekend....not bad at all. I definaltey will keep eatting it. I love having options for unrestricted foods.

Hello,
I am new to the forum and am wanting to follow the IP protocol with alternatives. I have done some research on the threads here.( Must say it is a little confusing). I would like to verify that I am understanding correctly. I saw the graphic at the beginning and assume that it is the basic info to follow when checking for alternatives.

Here is what I understand:
64 oz water
3 Protein packets daily
4 cups of vegies
8 oz beef, chicken fish, pork
supplements

I have a copy of the IP protocol, so know what vegies are allowed.
For one or two of my protein packets I am trying Healthsmart Chocolite chocolate fudge brownie Protein powder, and another option is Protidiet chicken flavor soup packet.
I was wondering if for my 3rd packet, I could use unflavored protein powder to mix with chicken broth and vegetables for example.
Thank you

You could - but why not treat yourself a little just to help with cravings and a late evening snack to curb urge to chew? Use a Quest bar, or unrestricted chips/crunchies? That evening snack has kept me going over my five+ months on the program.

Check out sites like Nashua Nutrition for purchasing alternatives. Use the "graphic" you found at the beginning of the thread to match products with IP equivelant nutritional statistics (also note some items with Aspartame also have a non-Aspartame version).

Some popular product company names Nashua carries that many of us use are
ProtiDiet
ProtiThin
HealthSmart
WeightLoss Systems
Syntrax

You can have any packet you want for breakfast, snack, lunch, so if you want chips for breakfast and an omelet or bar for lunch, go for it! FYI - I also love that one whole egg and two egg whites can be used as an omelet/scramble instead of buying an egg packet.

Keep reading, follow the P1 protocol sheet, read and post in the daily chat for questions/answers and in no time it will all be very CLEAR to you!

Another question I had was salad dressings. What do I have to watch out for there? I have been using Paul Newman's Olive Oil and Vinegar, or Balsamic Vinaigrette.
