Doing my best to try light movement so that my shoulder/hip don't go crazy. Dr. (Chiropractor) said that because I've lost so quickly I actually sprained the sacro-ilial tendon in my hip. I know this and the rotator cuff injury are temporary and my body is going in the right direction.
It has been quite common to hear about injuries as people lose weight.
Several people have posted info docs have given them.
First, our center of gravity changes quickly and we are more prone to injury as we're not used to it.
Second, the fat actually helped create support on areas that we must now strengthen and let the muscles support instead. I really expected my WL to correct back problems but in many ways for a while it got worse. I needed chiro adjustments but also a chiro knowledgeable in PT, and eventually just started going to PT.

I've learned some exercises and stretches that I may need to do for life to keep the pain at bay. Hang in there...it'll get better!

Hi everyone! This is a good day, just bought two pairs of size 14 skinny jeans and they fit great! And... The scale was down 2 pounds this morning!

Kawaii, nice to see you back. I feel ya on the winter thing. Sick of it! Sorry that you are in pain.

I love jean day, because the pants fit and I do not have to think about what to wear in my freezing classroom!

If you're sleeping more, you're just not moving as much and not burning off as much. You're still losing weight and a happy dance is in order!

How about putting on some music and dancing? It is great exercise, no equipment necessary, and can be done in the confines of your home. I have hip/back pain as well so I have to limit the movements I can do but it sure feels better after a couple songs of dancing around the house.
Or...alternately (and not as much fun) pick something to clean or organize prior to a nap. It'll keep the movement going.

I'm planning on purchasing a full spectrum bulb to put in a desk lamp at work for some extra "sunshine" during this cold & dreary time (a natural pick-me-up). I keep meaning to go get one & keep not doing it...I should just order one online & it'll come straight to my house!

Many of us are starting to feel winter's dulling effects. The weight is still headed in the right direction. Celebrate!
I enjoyed reading this post thank you DLR It's good to have someone point us in the right positive direction.

I'll second the smaller jeans "woohoo!". I am wearing a pair of size 10's I haven't worn for almost 2 years.

Hugs to those of you who are feeling down due to the winter weather. On a plus side, January is almost over!

dlr- have a wonderful vacation, enjoy the sun

Steph, yay for size 10 jeans!

Weigh In at my clinic tomorrow at 10:30, then brunch with a friend. Coffee and poached eggs for me, going in with a plan. Found some more of that cinnamon chai tea on Amazon! That made me so happy

Hope that all of you are having a great IP evening.

Jig, where are you? Sweetness, I have been worrying about you.

Good Morning everyone,

Well still heading to my WI, but brunch got cancelled. Kind of happy about it because I want to save my protein for dinner, I am marinating flank steak. Will hit the grocery store on the way home, need some veggies. Also think I am going to make the salsa verde chicken recipe this week.

SIL wanted to go walk the beach again, but it is below freezing and windy! I will stick to the treadmill until it is in the 40s.

Will check in later, crossing my fingers and toes for a good weigh in.

WI- 189!!! While it is TOM. So happy. . Talked about setting a final goal. Somewhere between 160 and 170, time will tell. Going to take it in 10 pound increments for now. The coach says that he finds maintenance much easier, but admitted to it being a life of constant food planning when I pressed him.

Steph- Congrats on the size 10's! That's awesome!

I'm so proud of everyone's losses and NSVs.

Also, I agree on Slipfree's post about Sweetness. Hope you're doing better and that we hear from you soon.

Hi!

Thanks! Treadmill done Also ordered a new scale for home, hoping it will be more reliable.

Steph: I ordered Calm too. You had me at help with C and sleep.

It is snowing here again, so I think I will catch up on some Dvr'd tv. But first need to cook dinner, marinated flank steak, mushrooms and grilled asparagus.

Hope that you are warm and having fun!
