Vegan on IP isn't super exciting -- I think there are 5 or so items I can eat! I did find one brand of alternative vegan bars that are pretty close to IP - they are called Simply Bars by Wellness Foods. And I also use a protein powder shake that is vegan and my IP coach approved it as a good replacement. Other than that, it is the leek soup, veg chili, soy nuts, blueberry drink and spaghetti.
Honestly, if eating these every day gets me to my goal, I'm ok with that! (I may be singing a different tune in a few months!)
Me! Me! Me! I started IP. So far no hunger. Just... you know lots of boredom I used to fill with snacks basically whenever I wanted. I had ZERO self-control. I'm excited about regaining control of my eating habits and about looking hot again one day, hahaha!
Today aside of the shake, I had a great lunch of green lettuce, >one cup of broccoli and >one cup of cucumbers. I dressed it with a dressing I blended in the Nutribullet with onions, sea salt and olive oil, to meet the compulsory daily requirements (the onion comes from the allowed veggies, but I only used like a tablespoon so it won't add up too much, also I didn't eat two cups of veggies so that can make up for it).
I weighed in this morning at 208lbs and my ultimate goal is 132lbs for a whooping 76lbs.
Anyway... it's exciting! We'll see how it is tomorrow that we'll be back to our regular activities. I think I have the advantage that my husband had a gastric sleeving last year and he doesn't eat as much as he used to, and he's really supportive now. He used to try to diet with me but we were awesome at yoyo dieting together, hahaha!
Went for my W1 weigh in today! I was nervous but hopful. Down 9.8lbs and 15.25 inches!!! I am so pleased with myself and IP. Never expected such numbers.
I realize that these results wont be typical each week but what a motivator!
W2 here I come
Hi
I'm peggy - started IPD on 1/2/14. Really glad I found this! Thank you all for your posting; the help. Lost 7lbs first week and none the second. Discouraging!
I have good and bad days, but so far have not cheated. I'm On my way! My first business trip since starting; any suggestions for eating at airports?

Did you lose inches the second week Peggy? Inches are just as important as pounds. And it's not unusual to have a "catch up" week. TOM, stress, sodium, etc. can also all play a part. Hang in there, it will happen.
I have avoided airport food! The one time we have flown while I've been on IP I took a baggie with cut up veggies and had my shaker cup and just sat in the waiting area and had my lunch before we flew.
Had my week 1 weigh in today and I'm down 3.5 : ) . I didn't like very many of the food product so I decided to stick to the pre made shakes and the wafers. I did buy the cook book which looks pretty good.

Welcome Peggy. I pack the pudding in my purse and buy a salad to eat before boarding and put lemon or vinegar with mustard on it. Can we take veggies through customs? Coming home i forgot to check my luggage and security almost took pre made pudding away as I had two which exceeded liquid limit.

Congrates on a great lose!
Welcome to all the new IP people. It's great to see so many new and excited people start their journey.
Hello, I'm Danielle and starting the IPD diet tomorrow. I have been reading through all the boards for the past week to prepare myself and for using alternative products and can't say enough good things about all of the advice, recipes, and ideas that this has provided me with. Good luck to all of the other newbies!
