You are quite right - I think I was speaking more metaphorically, seeing you two heading in the same direction at the same time. My apologies. I just got too excited for both of you so it was probably more ME "racing"!

I agree, it's Lisa's turn for the whoosh fairy.

In the meantime, the f***-up fairy has been visiting me. Dog got loose this morning, coffee pot died before brewing a single cup, I am in a foul mood (wonder why?). Off to search the garage for the emergency back-up coffee pot.

Sorry to hear this Ruth Ann. Hope you find a coffee soon!

Lemme know if you need one. I have about five, which certainly doesn't help this morning.

And I hope someone else can find the dog so you don't have to do it all!

Thanks stethascope and lisa! I found the dog (someone better fix the hole in the fence!) but the back up coffeemaker is hiding from me (probably the same place as my muffin tins).

BUT I managed to get 2 cups of coffee by just heating up water and pouring it through the basket with the grinds (think of the old drip cone coffee makers). And the coffee pot thought it could defeat me! Ha!

ha ha ha, my hubby was on the search last week when the coffee pot died, it was like the end of the world. I told him I would take him to the ER and have them hook-up an IV of coffee. I don't drink coffee, so it is hard for me to understand the "need". He survived, we had a spare Mr Coffee & a small Faberware percolator that we have had since we got married almost 32 yrs. ago.

Yes Lisa, the whoosh Fairy needs to visit you & me.

Gotta make my special Sencha tea and enjoy the morning. Happy Weekend

I will do so promptly. I have plenty, truly plenty, of spare time to do it. For the past three days, we have had at least two showings a day of the house, so once I thoroughly clean the house and the yard (dog, duck, geese poo), I sit and wait. One showing, OK. Sit, do not mess or dirty anything. Second showing...

I do not run off and do anything too far away because if our agent calls for another showing, I have to run home, grab the dog, her bedding and stuff and leave.

Since I am getting tired of reading (which I love to do) and TV, I will mentally create an altar to the Whoosh Fairy and make offerings in her name for Lisa.

I' m so happy that I was able to maintain on my holiday! It gives me confidence that I will be able to do it once I'm officially maintaining for life. I will never go back to how I was eating again.!

I appreciate reading all of your good advice, there are days that are easier than others but its worth sticking 100% to this plan. Have a great day! (or better day for some! ha!)

Too funny on the ER coffee IV Bellamack! But I can sympathize with him. I can give up a lot of things, but coffee in the morning isn't one of them. When we travel I carry my own coffee so I can make "pre-coffee" in the little hotel coffee makers so I can wake up enough to go find real coffee!

That sounds exhausting Schenectady. When we sold our last house I made the realtor make friends with the dog so when he came over he'd just put the dog in his car!

(serial posting here) Congrats on maintaining on your vacation and getting back to 100%! I agree, some days are easier than others but the huge rewards for staying 100% are well worth it.

Thanks Hawaii but if you'd heard me this morning you'd not think I was so positive!

Fortunately the day got better!

And go Seahawks! (sorry Carol! )
