Default Cooked Meat weight

I know IP wants us to weigh our meat raw
I tend to eat out or buy a cooked tri tip or cooked chicken and need to weigh my meat cooked:

is this a good estimation?-I found it on the internet:

4 ounces of raw meat/fish/poultry will yield 3 ounces, when cooked. 8 ounces raw will yield 6 ounces, & so forth. Ratio is 4 to 3.
