First WI for me was this morning! Down 5.4 lbs!

This is GREAT for me, as I've been yoyo dieting since age 11 (overweight since about 9) and have a totally wrecked metabolism.

YAY!!!!

Hey Everyone ...been a while since i've been here.....
i've stuck to IP 100% since the start...but in the past 1.5 months my weight loss has stalled (even without restricted packs). I've been in p2 for about 1 week, which is still ketogenic but...i've just called my clinic to let them know i wanna phase off completely for a few weeks and maybe give my body (and my thyroid) a break....and restart p1 in 3-4 weeks

I known some of you have done with success, just wondering if you went completely off or did you stay in p2-3? while you were phased off?!

Hope you're all doing well....

Thanks Hiker88! My husband lost 7! We've been using all alternative products since 2 ppl on IP would cost us at least $2000/month in food and coaching fees!

Ok,so a little TMI, but is it normal for your TOM to kind of go a little irregular on IP? I started at least a week earlier than I usually do....

The clinic near our house is $500/month flat for 28 days of food and coaching.
Plus 1 lb of meat/day for 28 days = $140-200
Plus 8 c veg/day for 28 days = $200-300
So maybe more like $1500 not counting WF condiments, spices, diet sodas (we're not off them yet), coffee, tea, etc.

Well im home today with the crud. Been tossing and turning since three am. Have a terrible headache and sore throat. My daughter is performing tonight at the Pelicans game and I really hope I feel somewhat better. I'll go regardless but I'd like to enjoy myself. Any tips for getting thru the veggies w a sore throat? I'll be having a spinach smoothie for breakfast

What about making the veggies into a soup......less chewing and maybe will slide right down..Sometimes warm things seem to make us feel better.

Good morning. Hope all are well. My TOM went totally strange when I started IP. Fat stores hormones and the burning of fat releases the hormones, resulting in irregular periods. It is my understanding this is why most coaches recommend a 2nd form of birth control during IP.

Today I have a 4 p.m. appointment with my coach to go through the Phase 4/Maintenance protocol and transition off. I am scared, as I have been each time there is a change. With snowboarding on the horizon, however, and increased activity - I have to go with faith that all is going to be okay. Just feels weird, like the safety net is being removed - although I guess it sort of is. I think what is most concerning is understanding how to eat in maintenance, it seems tricky (although it shouldn't - its just avoiding eating high-fat and high-carb meals together). I am going to try it through the holidays, in addition to exercising, and if I can't reduce my tummy any more or tighten it up, I might be back to P1/P2 for a few months to see about getting those things off.

In the meantime, I am looking forward to being more active.

Good morning!

I have some essential oils (doterra). The oils can be used to cook and add flavor to water. Has anyone used essential oils while on IP? My doctor said he would research it but hasn't gotten back to me.

Soo I got called into work for the holidays on when I usually meet with my coach/the clinic is only open like 12 hours a week so I can not go this week and have run out of food. Was thinking of getting off IP and onto a low carb/counting calorie anyway. A little nervous to gain because I am not phasing off but going to keep the same ideals as the diet so hoping I can avoid that by joining the gym. Wish me luck!

Honestly I don't have the energy to cook anything. I think I'll have another spinach smoothie later maybe eggs for protein. Have a Des appt together a strep culture later.
