Morning IPers! Beautiful day here in NOLA in the high 60's sorry for all you folks up in Cananda with that insanely cold weather. I couldn't do it. I'd never leave my house! Not much going on this weekend for me, which I think is a good thing. Will have my sweeties sister and her Boyfriend coming next week for t-giving. Hopefully no drama over my dogs while they are staying. They are "cat people" and tend to get a little pissy about my dogs. But as I've said before my dogs live here not you!
Happy Friday everyone!
I am off to a happy morning! I don't know WHAT I did differently, but considering I've had two slow weeks of losses, I stepped on the scale this morning, and down 7.4 lbs this week! That means I'm only 10 lbs away from my second mini goal!
Everyone have a great weekend, a gear up for an OP thanksgiving next week!
Good morning Everyone and Happy Friday!! I am going to be away from Dec 9-28 and my coach fast tracked me through ph 2 and will start ph3 on Monday. I am absolutely terrified!!!! I am down 48 lbs since July Yehhhh! I still have 40 to go until my cruise in feb. I am so afraid to make mistakes at this point. I need a few encouraging words to help me get through the next few weeks. My plan is in place that as soon as I get home, I will go back to phase 1 Dec 29th. Any helpful hints on how to be careful eating all my own food will be fantastic. Lisa, I know you have been so successful, Help!!!
Have been in back ground reading for awhile, but need support today, was at a meeting yesterday and took food but no microwave so ate food provided- took small amounts but threw me off. Restarting to day, but have been 100% for last 9 weeks, have lost 32 pounds
You guy's are great to read, get lot of good suggests etc.
That's fabulous progress. Those kinds of meetings are tough-- just don't let it get you off track, you're doing great!

What a great number, and congrats on being so close to your mini goal. Gives me hope that losses can speed up even if they have been slow.
Glad to see everyone is so upbeat today! It's looking to be a very busy day for me at the office, which at least means no idle time to think about snacking.
I realized this morning that I have less than 25lbs until my goal... feels good! Great motivation to stay on track and use IP 100% so that I get there faster.

Deanna509 - Your dedication and progress are amazing. You go girl! Scream from the housetops when you hit -50.
I am in a VERY good mood - a real NSV yesterday. Got a call from college son way across the state that he was done early and rather than coming home with a friend, would I come get him.
So, knowing Lisa's wise advice, I packed an IP travel bag. I deviated only in the amount of water I take because as ay Washingtonians know, the drive though eastern Washington is challenging with very limited rest stops in some of the mountain areas. At my age, that can be disasterous.
But fate intervened with my carefully planned day. Shaking my morning protein drink, the lid apparently was not closed tightly and I ended up wearing my drink. Then at the first rest stop, the ladies room was closed for cleaning. The second one was too with a sign to please take turns and share with the men - REALLY?
Two hours into the drive, four warning lights go on. Closest Toyota dealer 1.5 hours away, few mechanics in the mountains. So I drive 2 hours back home to pick up a different car, start all over. Total of 15 hours in the car and I DID NOT CHEAT or slip off...munched celery, peppers, hard boiled eggs minus yolk, slices turkey breast. No stops at Burger King!
Down one pound from yesterday. Virtue is its own best reward.

From everything I've learned on my IP journey, a break is probably good, esp if you stick to IP phases. I personally wouldn't do more than 12 weeks of P1 again without a P3 break for thyroid health.
Hi! I am new here but learned so many things from this site! So much inspiration from all of you. I am only on week one. I don't think I have lost more than 2lbs. I have stuck to the plan religiously I am on my fifth day. TOM is here too.(I searched but couldn't find how that changes anything or not) Had a difficult day yesterday with many trigger foods around all day but kept to the diet.
I have Thanksgiving at my house, my 15 year anniversary, a cruise, husband's birthday and Christmas ALL in December!!!! I am planning on not doing IP on the cruise but being careful and I usually exercise every day on vacations. I have my wonderful best friend who is doing this at the same time so that is a great support, but I am really scared.....
I don't know if it's been mentioned somewhere throughout the forum, but it occurred to me this morning that meringues could be a snack option - the little egg white cookie meringues. Has anyone successfully made these with Splenda? I've found some recipes online, just wondering if anyone has actually tried them.
Hi!! I just completed my first week on IP and I lost 3.8 pounds!! So exciting. I feel great and it was very easy for me. Nervous about Thanksgiving, but I think I can handle it. Will get weighed early on Wednesday, so that might keep me going!!
