Day 4 and I have a few questions.

Last time I was OP my coach did not mention anything about not using aspartame. I chewed gum all the time, used splenda, cough drops, etc.
I know splenda is not good for the body and I actually switched over to stevia about a month ago, but why can't I chew gum?

Does anyone know if there is a replacement for mio that has stevia?

I saw a recipe for IP mayo in the recipe threads that uses tofu....I can't find it again. Anyone have the recipe?

If I want to add my ticker on the bottom of my emails, do I have to copy/paste them in each time I initiate a thread?

Thanks and happy IP'ing,

The gum thing was explained to me that it can mess with ketosis, so stay away if possible. Maybe the sugars in it? I'm not sure as I don't chew gum.

You won't be able to add a ticker until you have posted 20 times and been on here 20 days. At least I think those are the magic numbers. It took a while for my "signature" button to arrive, but when it did, I could just put my ticker in my signature and it follows me everywhere...no matter where I post. I just update it weekly so it reflects my current weight.

Not sure about the other questions, but I'm sure someone will be able to help.

Thanks and happy IP'ing,

Theres a natural Stevia water enhancer called STUR you can buy 6 on Amazon for $20 and the only one I know of that MIO uses Stevia in is a Soda flavoring one.

I was told you can have sugar-free gum but only 1 piece a day. And my IP office sells IP approved gum. Its good.

I chew gum . it helps me from taste testing when I make dinner and during the days where I have major cravings! My friend went to the clinic here in town and they told her to chew gum!

My sheet says I can have up to three pieces of Orbitz SF gum per day. I start my journey tomorrow. I am so glad I found this forum.

Happy Tuesday!
I went to my lunch bag to have my IP snack this afternoon...I was excited to have the new garlic crisps. Well I ripped open the package and to my surprise and dissapointment I saw rotini noodles! I had to make due with a Simply Protien Bar I found in the cupboard at work.
Yes I will be packing extra IP snacks to leave there

Oh, that's too bad. The garlic and herb crisps are fantastic. I love them and can't believe they are unrestricted.

I hope everyone feels better soon. Get some rest! This cold weather is definitely a huge change. I saw snow today for the first time.
Congrats on all the great losses!

I really want to try those zucchini muffins, Lisa. I am getting very bored as I haven't made any recipes with the food.

Did anyone go through a hunger phase in about week 7 or 8? I don't know if my body is out of ketosis (I ate an extra pack a few times this week). I've also upped my exercise which may be making me hungrier. I just feel out of it and at a standstill. I hope this hunger subsides. Maybe time to eat more veggies, dill pickles or something.

Guess every clinic is different. My Doctor said only chew as a last resort and there is only one kind he recommends. I don't know which one it is since I don't chew it. Sorry!

I think it's Spry gum that's approved. I couldn't find it in stores. Maybe online. Seemed like to much trouble to go to so I just gave it up.
