Congrats to the loss!!! THat is too awesome . As for your $$$ hungry coach he can jump in a cold lake! I can see by so many posts on this forum that the coaches seem to be in this for the $$$$ and that is it. Some really do care about helping ppl lose the weight but so many are looking at the cash cows that come through the door

That is sad, I was lucky to get a great coach who actually gave me ideas for alternatives and really cared about my weight loss more than anything.

Has anyone seen this article about Oreos being as addictive as cocaine??? SO TRUE- for me at least haha. It has some great points about sugar dependency which I know is something I struggle with.

Happy Thursday, everyone!

Well, I am sitting here at home with a day off today (after the most fun doc appt-NOT). I think this diet is messing with my bc pills. No biggie, I can handle it. Now, it is time to grade some papers and work on my online class. Maybe I can actually have all my work done today and enjoy a weekend with no schoolwork! Have a great, OP Thursday, and here's to the weekend!

LOL We had ours last week, and as a middle school teacher, I was on the other side of the conference table. Good luck! I hope your son is having a great school year.

Yay! Enjoy your weekend with hubby back. So exciting!

WTG on the WI! Sorry to hear about your coach. I mean, everyone needs to make a living, but there is NO NEED to have a 'tude. Doesn't sound like a true coach to me.

thanks SarahBell!
Just placed my first order with Nashua. Ordered my restricted items from them. Will be using them with the EAS shakes for breakfast and dinner. On my work days I'll have the shake w spinach for breakfast. My protein and 2 additional cups of veggies for lunch and hen another shake for dinner. It's just so much easier as the evenings are far busier at the casino and I can have the shake on the fly.

Side note would someone please send me that little chart that was floating around ? I tried to find it but couldn't I want to save the screenshot of it on my iPad.

It does! Look around this forum. When you are burning fat at the rate you do in ketosis, your body releases extra estrogen. My first time around, I stopped getting my visitor on time and I know other people have had experiences like this.

Your coach is supposed to tell you about this, but you should DEFINITELY be using a back up (barrier) method, just in case.

Question Slushie Making????

Ok I seen that some ppl make slushies out of the drink packets (mango peach, pina colada ect.) do you not add the water to the blender and just pour in the packet with ice and blend merrily away? I want to make one today but I want it to turn out good.

So, despite the pain, there's a lot of joy. I guess this is just another example of 'life.'

Hugs to you all!
What are you going to school for?

Mix the packet normally. Pour over ice in the blender & then blend
It works to combine flavors, too.
Mix 2 packets with 16 oz water. Pour 8 oz over ice in blender.
Save the other half for another time (strawberry/banana smoothie + Pina colada is yum! plus the leftover can go back into the RTD bottle)
I've also combined these others with pina colada: mango peach, orange. (I went thru a pina colada phase but now I'm sick of it but still have several boxes to use up so I combine with other flavors).

Great to read about everyone's successes! I watched BL too and love the show but sometimes struggle with the image it portrays that exercising yourself to the brink of vomiting and drastically reducing calories is a healthy way to lose weight....

Had a NSV yesterday. A friend made my aunt brownies ( I am visiting in GA) and I had to move them from the plate to a Tupperware container. Now I LOVE brownies and these were from scratch...and I wasn't even tempted to lick my fingers. Washed them off and when everyone had brownies I had my Quest bar.
could someone please connect me to a link on here for reading resources recommended by the group? Thanks!

I don't watch BL
I, similar to Balanced Life, struggle with what I consider to be obese abuse.

I want to know how many of the folks keep their weight off 1,2,...5 years later. This is my next big adventure...maintenance. Something I've never done before.

From the episodes of BL I HAVE seen & the abuse they endure, I can only see that they are hurting their endocrine systems, in addition to a multitude of other systems.

I won't watch.
It is just too bad people have to be mistreated or misbehaving for it to be considered "good" TV. "Good" is not "quality" in my book.

Did you read all the links in the first post of this thread?
