  • I had my first WI today at my new center, and I couldn't be happier. The coach was wonderful, the setting gorgeous and relaxing, and the support amazing! I am so happy that my first coach didn't show up the other day, it was the catalyst I needed to make a change. Everything happens for a reason.
  • Quote: If you order sachimi ... you won't get rice. It's just the seafood....however it is not cooked! I have found Japanese/ Asian food to offer the most IP friendly choices because I do like sachimi although it is raw!. ....Many of the "rolls" of cooked seafood and the vegetable things are wrapped around sticky rice, and some contain cream cheese...another NO. I think some of these are "Americanized" versions of the rolls to accommodate folks who don't do the raw stuff.
    If they speak english well, you may consider the need to call in a special order and tell them NO RICE etc! Since they make things fresh...it may not be a problem. The hibachi menu may be different. Not familiar with that route...they usually use too much soy sauce for me...and rarely have the GF type.
    Well alrighty then. Thank you for the 411 on sushi!!! I think I just may stick to a big mac in a bowl tomorrow then.
  • Congrats to all the successes I've read today, and welcome to the newbies!
    Week 8 WI - 2.6 pounds down & 2 1/2 more inches. Happy that my original goal is so close!!
  • I go out for sushi all the time. I order sashimi and steamed broccoli with nothing on it. I then put a bit of soy sauce on the broccoli. It is awesome, and nothing off plan. There is one roll that is wrapped in cucumber with no rice... just make sure they don't put avocado in it. It's a naruto roll. Sooooo good.

    Anytime anybody wants to go out for dinner I suggest Asian.
  • slownsteady Thanks, I try to upbeat all the time, I don't always succeed but I try. Congrats on your losses, the IP program is amazing isn't it! I've tried for 10 yrs to get this weight off and nothing has worked like this!!

    To add... Hibachi is where they cook protein and veggies in front of you. It would be fairly IP friendly without the rice and maybe just a little of the ginger sauce on side.
  • Hello Everyone!
    I have made it to Phase 4 Maintenance and met my goal. Is there a thread for Newbies on the Phase 4? I am not quite sure how to do it and I'm terrified of messing up. Thanks!

  • [QUOTE=Zictory75;

    I am wondering if anyone has any tips for dealing with sleep deprivation. I have two small kids who wake up a lot, has been like this for 5 years. I know a big part of my weight gain (I was always heavy, but have gained about 60lbs in last 2 years) has been exhaustion. I eat caffeine and sugar to keep going... Now I have been op for 5 weeks and feel great, but every time my kids are up I fear falling back into patterns.....[/QUOTE]

    I Remember going thru that with my twins and it drove me to eat. We eventually hired a sleep trainer to come in and help when they were 8 months old. Because of the lack of sleep they were often getting sick and not meeting milestones. I was going to lose my mind and would eat to feel better.
    I hope it gets better, there are some good books around keep training that are out there. Do what works best or you.
  • I have been looking through the Alternatives thread, but thought someone may have the answer at the their fingertips. I am thinking of starting exercise this week and my coach told me to add a packet. Does anyone know the nutritional requirements for an alternative non-restricted packet? Thanks!
