Good morning IPers. Hope you have a brilliant day! I am feeling good, went to a party last night with very heavy hors d'oeuvres and I waited until it was 'dinner time' and only ate the steamed shrimp! I'm sure people were looking at me like, wow she's scarfing all the shrimp but I didn't care! There were no raw veggies so I had my 2 cups when I got home. Got a business trip next week, feeling a little anxious but every time I deal with the eating out issue, I feel a little more confident that I can do this on the road. Have a great day!!

I love this! Thank you!!

Made it through 2 days on plan and I'm feeling good ... it feels better than throwing all that crap food in my face that I've done for the last month. Still getting used to all the bathroom trips!

Hope you all have a fabulous Wednesday!

I'm talking about things like milk, oatmeal and other breakfast items for them to have before school, yogurt and fruit cups for after school snacks, etc.

I'm trying to not step foot outside of my house today unless I absolutely have to. It is supposed to be 90° - where is Fall???
Where are you AT??? Up here it is beautiful and cool 74 today! I love fall and cannot wait for winter MN winters can be an absolute blast!

It's going up to 93 today... Ugh. I'm a Canadian girl living in Texas and am so over this heat! I went shopping yesterday and bought some size medium shirts. Even at my lowest doing Weight Watchers I was always a large in tops... Starting week four and am loving how I look and feel! And has anybody's libido increased with this program? My husband is loving it...

I think it is quite disrespectful to call me an "issue" just because I have different opinions than most...there is an ignore option on this forum...I can be ignored rather than having my posts called ridiculous and an "issue". I am doing IP...and I'm losing weight just like everyone else...

I have a silly question... Is there a way to make veggie chips that are crispy like potato chips? I keep trying with spinach, rutabaga and zucchini but they're always sort of doggy and indelible. I want to make some for some parties coming up so I have something on program to snack on.

Plain and simple.

You seem to believe small cheats "won't derail you." It's probably more useful for you to post on the low-carb forum because you are not following IP.

Keep it up Deana509!

ETA: I'm beginning to see why IP encourages coaches to "let go" of dieters after they go off-plan 2 times. It sounds harsh but for the good coaches out there (yes, they are few and far between) it is disrespectful of their time and effort to try to "coach" people who aren't committed. They are taking up someone else's time slot that is actually willing to commit to the plan.
I am not doing IP anymore, but am still following posts occasionally and I just need to say that based on your posts, I hope you are not actively coaching. A good coach wants people to lose weight any way possible. Whether this is strictly doing IP or using a modified form of IP or any other diet. And a good coach does not need to threaten people. By contrast, many IP coaches care mostly about the cash cows coming into their office. I have yet to see the evidence that IP trains anybody in real coaching.

Smooshie76 - I made Jicama "fries" last night and loved them! I never had Jicama before. I found it by the mushrooms in the produce section of the grocery store.

peeled it, sliced it, massaged olive oil into each piece, put on parchment paper on a baking sheet, sprinkled sea salt and pepper, then baked for 15 min at 375, then flipped them over added more sea salt and pepper and baked another 15 min...my husband and son loved them too....to me they tasted kind of like sweet potato fries

I'll try the jicama fries! I'm in love with turnip fries but was hoping to make a batch of wannabe potato chips ahead of time to bring to parties. I want the crispness.

Lisa, how did you do your kale Chips? I tried it, but couldn't get it right.

I have experimented PLENTY
The last time I made them, one tray burned.

Keeping a CLOSE eye on them is essential. I also do them slowly...200 in the oven. You can do them faster (higher heat) but they burn easier.

I'm pretty sure rainbow did a picture step-by-step in one of her threads.
Otherwise, there are probably step-by-steps on the internet.
