You need to calculate how much raw vegetables you put into the puree and how much it made.

So, say you made 500ml of puree out of 4 cups of raw vegetables. With calculations, it comes to 1 cup raw = 125ml of puree. So you could eat 125ml of puree to get 1 cup of veggies in. Hope that makes sense.

Friday the 13th was a crazy day in the world of kindergarten. We were so busy that one of the kids wound up not eating his snack b/c he was finishing his journal! OOPS!!

I think I really like the Rotini! I made a pasta salad for lunch yesterday - rotini & chopped zucchini with 2 T olive oil & some oregano, chives, parsley, sea salt w/ 3 oz of chicken chopped into it. It was a great change from my regular salad at lunch. I actually didn't have to eat my lunch on the way back to the class...that's been my goal this school year - finish my lunch before we clean up & head back to class. Eating lunch & making sure 20 5 year olds have done the same is sometimes tricky. I love that some of these cuties are reminding me to take my vitamins before we leave the cafeteria too! They are taking care of me

***Edit - the 2 T Olive Oil was used with permission from my coach. 1 - 2 t is all you should have on IP.

The serving size is only 2T for these...so I would presume using sparingly would be the key.

Are you dividing your daily protein quota? I have to eat 3 oz at lunch or I'm starving by dinner & then I can't eat the 8 oz.

I also break up my day & it helps with any hunger I might have...

B - IP pack
Snack - 1/2 cup veggies
Lunch - salad with protein (romaine & 1 1/2 cups veggies)
Snack - IP pack
Dinner - something good that either hubby or I have made
Snack - IP pack

Fignewton - I guess there was more than one of us in the kitchen cooking things for family that we can't/don't eat! I just finished a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup White Chocolate Fudge. Two strategies that worked for me:

1. Big pot full of hot, soapy water in the sink - when I finish with ANY tool, it gets quickly doused into the water rather than licked. Fingers the same.
2. I ate all my veggies before I cooked - I did a delicious big bowl of roasted broccoli and had it before I went into the kitchen to cook.

I am sooo happy that I was able to cook delicious desserts for my guys but not be tempted. I am getting there, even after 3.5 weeks.

Based upon the IP coach's manual (from a coach I know), here are the number of packets one should be consuming, based on weight:

Most people use 3 packets (2 non-restricted, 1 restricted) per day.

In the IP clinic manual, it's listed this way:

201-240 pounds = 4 packets/day
241-280 pounds = 5 packets/day
281-320 pounds = 6 packets/day

Of course, still only 1 of those is restricted.

If your coach hasn't told you this <sigh> I'll just say some coaches are better than others. Mine initially told me I could have an "extra" the first week, when based on this info, I should have started on 5/day!

Thank you for the break down!! This is day #1 for me so it was kinda rough

had a migraine today so I made an iced coffee with 2 tbs of skim milk and 1 packet of via sweetner (it gives it just enough sweetness) and I actually only drank half the coffee so I have some for tomorrow.

The next 2 or 3 days will be hard for me but I can manage I hope

kkids: Saw your pasta salad recipe, sounds delicious! Just a head's up though...1-2 teaspoons is the amount of oil you should be having each day, not tablespoons.

i am guessing I posted this on the wrong board, I will ask on the Canada board.. I have had the worst two days yet on this diet.. switching and finding products have been very difficult,, so have had very little calories for two days as I am determined not to cheat.. I will hopefully get myself sorted around over the weekend..

My coach told me the same thing. On the one hand, I am a little annoyed. On the other, I am glad all of that beginning part is behind me and have no regrets about the good results.

Oh ok. Hope it helps...the big C is not fun!

Then I'll just say, take note newbies for the proper amount of oil per day unless instructed differently by your coach.

this is the first chance I've had to get back on today or I would have put my two cents in sooner. It looks like this falls within alternative guidelines. I would definitely do this one. I know the alt guidelines are somewhere but I don't have time to look now. maybe do a google search and include 3fatchicks in the search.
