Default Starting again..wishy washy

I have fallen off the wagon a bit and gained about 15 of my 70 pounds I had lost back. MOST of it was through eating a paleo diet and exercise, but I used IP to get rid of those last 20 pounds.

I had heard that once you get off plan it can be very difficult to get back on again and it is very discouraging. I have also been working out and enjoying it more than ever, so not working out is going to be a challenge, but I have a trade show for work coming up the first weekend in October and I want to feel better about myself and fit comfortably in my clothes.

Looking for any advice on being successful with starting back up and if anyone else is in the same boat I would love an accountability partner!

Hi mommy skinny

I went back to the dark side in April and yes, speaking for myself it was really hard for me to get back with it. I was stressing out so bad during that period, I just didn't care anymore. On August 28th, something literally knocked me up aside head. I had bought clothes left and right and now they are fitting wayyy toooo tight and as I would look into the mirror I just didn't enjoy the other person on the other side. I immediately began my reboot on 8.28 and I'm on day 6 now. I understand we have life issues and other circumstances, but I had to make this change on my own. Yes, it was hard considering April-August getting going again, but we can do this. I feel better about this now, than I did when I started last year. Just re-evaluate why you want it now and leave the past behind. I will be more than happy to be your partner in this! We all need help along the way.

I just restarted, first week was a BREEZE for me staying on (except for feeling tired) Second week has been hard! But I have had a bunch of sick kids at home and that always stresses me out!

It took me 2 years to start again. I would try so many times but could never make it past day three. I gained all that I had lost back plus another 20 lbs. I felt miserable.

Finally I just said enough is enough. I went to the grocery store and got all the veggies and meat I would need, and I started the next day. I had been trying to just calorie count for two weeks before restarting but wasn't impressed with a 2.2 lb loss after two weeks, so I started back head first, and there's no looking back now. Thursday will be my 8 week mark!

You can do this. You have done it before, it is all mind over matter.

Good luck, and check back here frequently to help stay motivated.

Default So glad I saw this

I have been under the same struggle. I have restarted what seems like a million times since May. I can't seem to get past day 3, without a cheat or binge. My new pants are fitting tight. And now I'm discouraged that I just can't do it again. I am going to dedicate myself to doing this to reach that elusive size 10!

I wish everyone well on their reboots. The good thing is that IP does work. Mommyskinny..my coach said it was ok to continue to exercise while on Ip..just kept doing what I already was doing. It worked for me. You might check with your coach.

I am also here with you all doing a reboot. Without going into too much detail, I have been maintaining since December 2012 and have been hanging around the +/-5 lb range with most recently at the top of my goal weight. I went into maintainence at 135 although my real goal was 130. Honestly, I was just so thrilled to get to 135 as I had not been at that weight since I was 19, that I just went off...not to mention I was physically and mentally done and in need of a break. That being said, I am back to get to my original goal of 130 and stay with it for 30 days minimum...hoping I can drop 10 in that time frame. I can do this and you can too. Is it hard...yeah...but its worth it. I try and think about it as an act of love for oneself and what a treat it is to focus on health. Some days will be easier than others and the bad days are the ones to watch out for. Do something fun, take a nap, get a new book, etc on days when you are most vunerable. The biggest thing for me is planning ahead with food and recognizing when I just need space for me. This process provokes a lot of introspection and can be emotional at times...when you need a calgon take me away moment, have one and apologize for it!

I restarted today too! I lost 30 pounds by this time last year. I did not 'phase out' and over the last year put it all back on! So 194.5 and counting down!
