I had my weekly meeting this morning and achieved several personal goals:
1. I am down 20 lbs from when I started on 7/26/2013
2. Down 5.7 lbs this week
3. Halfway to my total goal!
I owe it all to zucchini, not cheating and making a big effort to stick to the plan. I'm limiting restricted IP products to soy nuts and really have gotten creative with packets...thanks for all the tips on the boards.

BTW, does anyone else feel like they have a "dealer" more than they actually have a "coach"? My coach is the only one around for 100 miles, so I don't have a choice, but y'all are so much more informative than he is. At my second weigh in he didn't even attempt to measure me - I was in a hurry (which he didn't know) so I didn't say anything but it left me feeling... like a customer.
Oh well DH and I do a measure anyway so I guess that will be the "official" numbers I use!
This is exactly why the alternative threads are so popular.
I needed more than a salesperson, which is what it I started feeling like.
My coach has never looked at my weekly meal journal and I have been checking in for seven weeks. I am down 14 pounds and lost 9.25 inches. I feel he is a product pusher. But I really get all my info from these threads and I am so grateful for those who have gone ahead and figured out how to make these great tasting recipes.
So to continue from my post yesterday, the first bad meat choice I made was sasuages - I know, i should have known that one lol.. then I went to Walmart and bought the packages of cut of precooked chicken and bought the flavoured teriaki (sp) chicken and coach said I couldn't have that becasue of sugar? It was great when I was in a hurry and just added to some veggies.. then the last "mistake" was poin loin chops.. no bones and seemed very lean..
I have to agree with your coach regarding the sausage. Unless it was homemade it is very difficult to find ones that are lean enough, made without nitrates that also have enough protein to be used for your 8 oz without having the quadruple the serving size.
I also agree regarding the pre-cooked chicken. They very often have too many fillers and/or carbs. The teriyaki would be a no-go as well because of the sugar content.
However, I strongly disagree abut the lean pork loin chops. Those are perfectly fine to use and I have it very often.
Keep it up!

Ņo I've not been asked for my journal either. I didn't even think of that!
Does anyone know if the athletes protocol is posted somewhere? I'd just like to see it.
Does an athletes protocol really exist? I have never heard of it, and I have never seen it in these boards even after having read for I couldn't tell you how many hours. I would be interested in knowing also. It is kind of late in the day so if you think about it, re ask tomorrow when a lot more people will see it.

I started IP 6 days ago, using IP products and alternatives. On day 3 I felt like I was hit by a truck. No energy and the worst headache I can remember having. Feeling the polar opposite of that today, I feel so amazing, full of energy and I can't wipe the smile off my face! If you asked me how I am feeling I'd answer you "I'm feeling so good there should be two of me!" Is this energy I'm feeling from ketosis? If I keep on program, can I expect to feel like this most of the time? I'm 47 yrs old and I haven't felt this amazing in years!

Wow, that's really fast progress - lucky! It must be encouraging to see the scale moving along so quickly.
