Today's WI was a bit irritating. I weighed before I left the house and was at 155.8 my home scale has consistently been 1lb lighter than the clinic scale. But today I weighed in at 158. Gah! I don't understand what happened in 30 mins to show that gain.

Anyhow, good thing is we measured again today and I lost 15" from last time we measured 6 weeks ago and 41" gone from the start!!

And I bought a size 8 pair of shorts!!! They're a smidge tighter than I like but they'll be perfect in a week or two.

When I started this journey, I was comfortably in a size 18 work pants (to be specific, Kohl's, Apt 9, Curvy fit - they're awesome!). About 5 weeks in, I downsized to a 16 because I was swimming in my pants. Well, I have been waiting as long as possible to buy the 14's, and this weekend I finally caved, went back to Kohls, and to my surprise.... I'm a 12! I completely skipped the size 14's and jumped right into the 12's. Granted, they're a little snug, but in another week or so they will fit comfortably. It would have been a waste of money to buy the 14's with how quickly I am dropping sizes.

I hope others have had the same experience. It's great! I hope you all have a great day!!

That is so amazing! Very happy for you! Can't wait to be there myself

I'm typically in the 850-950 calorie range per day, but usually under 900.
50% protein, 30% fat, 20% carbs (I THINK...again, it is at home)
These are approximate numbers so you try to be in the range

A packet should have about 15 g protein.
Calories about 80-120 (up to 200 for restricted)
Unrestricted is 8 or fewer net carbs
Restricted is 9+ net carbs
30% or fewer calories from fat
No aspartame

The nice thing is if we follow the plan, we don't have to track calories, fat, carbs very carefully.

VERY helpful! Love it!!

The basic guidelines for alternative products that match up with IP are:

-under 200 calories
-less than 30% calories from fat
-carbs within the restricted/unrestricted guidelines
8g or less net carbs = unrestricted
9g-16g net carbs = restricted
17g net carbs = super restricted (once or twice per week only)
more than 17g net carbs is too many to be compatible with p1
-at least 12-15g protein per serving

I copy and pasted these last two into a word document and keep them in my IP folder for reference! I have a feeling I will also be adding them to me 'notes' on my phone

This is an amazing group! Thanks for all the info!

I thought i'd create an avatar instead of a stock photo but i'm wondering...she seems a little "hot" compared to how I look today. Is she inspirational or annoying?

This one was truncated a bit.
All good-for-IP plan are under 200
Unrestricted are typically 80-120 (maybe a tad more)
Restricted are usually over 150-160 cals.

The term refers to the first 3-4 days on IP. As you stop eating carbs, your body goes into a sort of withdrawal for a couple of days where you might feel tired, light headed, nauseous, headaches, etc. It wasn't too bad for me...just know that it will pass in a day or two. Then you'll feel awesome!

Hi there neighbor!!! Love seeing a fellow DC metro lady here!! I totally love your avatar, but I'm a red-head (bottled, tyvm) and so I'm probably partial.

Ohh!! Good to know! I think I found this in an old thread somewhere, but adding this to the formula. I just heard that old NBC PSA jingle in my head... "The more you know..."
