Thanks Bellamack

Maile Evanston is a great location. There are tons of restaurants & shopping, the beach and super easy to get downtown. My husband lived there when we first started dating. Hopefully the weather will be nice when you are here. So far we've only had a couple of humid days this summer, but normally it's really muggy.

Good morning everyone!

Just checking in. I'm visiting my daughter in Syracuse and spending the days with my 4 yr old granddaughter. Great fun! On Tuesday we went to the museum and I accompanied her up an obstacle course and down a fast slide. I never could have done that 82 pounds ago! I'm having great fun with her and the 7 month old who is learning to crawl today! It's also great feeling the cooler air. Much more breathable than down south.

It's a challenge to stay right with my eating here, even though everything is very healthy and this 4 yr old thinks celery is the best food around. Lots of snacking, so I'm substituting my daily bars with almonds and (sometimes) goldfish or fruit with Luca. Funny how we get so attached to our routines. I know I'm staying within my guidelines but it's a little uncomfortable not having my exact routine. Last time I was here I was on P1 so there was no wiggle room. Yesterday at the lake her ice cream cone was dripping so I had to "lick it around" to stop the drips. I know I can't do too much of that.

Sarabean, congratulations! Great analogy to the first week of IP!

Maile, I'll be in DC next week. I'll drive there from Syracuse on Monday. I'm looking forward to the drive.

Ragdoll, congrats on your year anniversary of starting IP. Mine was in June. It certainly is a milestone in our lives.

Well, now it's evening. I started this in the morning and you can imagine that some things are left undone when in the company of a 4-yr old!

joysh Obstacle course and down a fast slide!!! WOW, the things we can do now hey!

maile great inspirational post on Vol 11 - have fun on your trip and you find a spot for your son to live!

skeeter saw some of the photos from TO...:/ I agree, I wish I had found IP sooner!

ragdoll Congrats on your one year anniversary! It's quite an achievement!

Evepet Yeah, "step mom" - I'll be better then any step mom in any fairy tale though! Or at least that's what I'm told LMAO He's pretty good, we've come a long long way...I had a bad day yesterday and warned him that I wasn't 'feeling good because I had a bad day"...he made me laugh He's a good kid!

Lizzy Good to see you, glad you're still around

Sara Congratulations!!! I got nothing for ya for advice sweet cheeks...I have two cats and a step son. lol

dregan bellamack 65X65 Thanks!

bella Have you checked out the beck diet solution book?

++++++++++
I think I let myself get over hungry and didn't drink enough water so had too much to eat today. I feel 'meh'.

Just to clarify - we did nothing for 2 days but we did have a week for our honeymoon.

So as promised here are some pictures! VIP said I could post a few with him. These are 'candids by guests' so a little grainy but I had to beg steal and borrow to get the ones I have now. Kinda wanting my professional ones but don't want to rush him either. But I think you get the 'jist' of my dress. And well the cake toppers were a hit so I had to include them! Maybe cap will come out of lurkdom for it?

Ragdoll you are doing awesome
Hi Bellamack! I definitely remember you too. I've been in maintenance since April 1st, and have sometimes found it difficult with cravings, so I can identify with what you've experienced. I had to come back to P1 two weeks ago in order to nip it in the bud and get things under control again. Right now I'm still about 5 lbs higher than where I really want to be. I bought The Beck Diet Solution today... I saw that Ishbel just recommended it to you, and I believe it was Maisie who referred to it as well a few posts back. I've seen others here recommend it too, and think/hope that it will be useful.

Ishbel - Thank you for the pictures! I LOVE that first pic of you - woman, you are absolutely glowing!! And your hubby is a handsome dude... looks mighty fine in his kilt. You both look so happy! Congratulations again to both of you.

Joysh - Sounds like you're having a great time with the Grandkids. ITA that it's wonderful how much more active we can be now, with those surplus lbs gone.

Everyone - I put a separate thread in, asking for opinions/recommendations about Fitbit. I'm very tempted to get one, but would appreciate candid comments from anyone here before I spend the $. If anyone has any personal experience with Fitbit One or Fitbit Flex I'll appreciate the input.....

Cheers for now.

Ishbel,

Tell VIP (shouldn't he be DH now?) I loved the kilt and thank him for his service.

The bobble heads look amazing!

Anyone else having difficulty with the size of the font/post on 3 fc. They are too big to fit accross the screen. I don't know how to adjust it on my computer and size is ok on all the other sites I go to.

Isabel- beautiful pictures! You look so happy!

Evepet- sorry I don't have any advice on the fitbit for you. I do have a heart rate monitor that also tracks calories and I really like it. It helps keep me motivated. I am sure the fitbit would do the same! A few of my friends thought about getting one, but not sure if they ever did.

Dregan- I love the beach! I bet you had a great time! Rhode Island weather has been pretty crazy too! So sick of the humidity!

Patn-no problems with my font. Hope you figure it out!

1st CrossFit class this morning (and it was only an intro so not a complete workout). My quads are like rubber. He had me demonstrate proper squat technique, which I'm happy to say he didn't have too many corrections on, about 12 times with, and without, a barbell (in this case a piece of pvc pipe). That wasn't too bad. It was the 1000 meter row (1 demo of 100 meters and then 3 intervals of 300 spaced 1 minute apart). I wasn't sure I was going to be able to get into my pickup and now 1/2 hour later I'm still wobbling around. I'm hoping, just like IP, that 6 months from now the start won't seem like such a big deal.

Hi Everyone, I haven't been on 3FC in quite some time and I was wanting to catch up with Lisa, aka Wuv. Does anyone know her last name so I can look her up on Facebook? Last I heard of/from her she was going to be an IP coach. Thanks!
