Tickers and Signatures:
There are 2 requirements to have access to signatures and tickers. You must have been a member of 3fatchicks for 20 days AND posted at least 20 messages anywhere on the 3fatchicks forum. When you've met those requirements check The Ultimate Signature and Ticker Thread for more information and instructions.
Searching:
If you can't find what you're looking for in this forum using the website search function, try using the "double search" using Google.
1) Go to Google.com. Search 3fatchicks by using the term site:3fatchicks.com at the end of your Google search.
For example, if you want to look for "big mac in a bowl", type "big mac in a bowl site:3fatchicks.com" in Google search. No need to include the quotation marks when you type.
2) This will bring up the page that you are looking for, now hit Ctrl+F to search on that page. Type "big mac in a bowl" and all instances of that search term will be highlighted.
If you're new or relatively new, be sure to read the first post in this thread & also the stickies.
Lotsa info/ links there. Many new threads are started by people who haven't read & are duplicates (triplicates, quadrplicates) or FAQs that are frequently discussed in the daily chat.
The 100% thread is a no-cheat-zone & a small community within the community, so if you're looking for a safe place where cheating is not mentioned, join us there. We don't lust after foods we're restricting in that thread, rather we focus on what we CAN have & how to remain 100% OP thru everything & every obstacle.
The over 50 thread is a great place for those with over-50 metabolisms. And the men's thread is a unique spot for the guys among us.
Today's topic: what are you plans for staying OP through the (perhaps) long US holiday weekend? (or, for our Canadian members, how did you stay OP through your holiday weekend). Planning ahead is key.
I'm going to make cauliflower potato salad today & coleslaw w/WF dressing. Then I'll have go-to veggies in salad form.
I am loving all the helpful hints and encouragement on this site.. It's day 2 for me.. I haven't decided today's menu yet???? I'm thinking of the cappuccino drink mix or hot chocolate mixed with coffee..
Hello everyone! First post - long time lurker. I began IP on Monday. I had actually gone for my consult over a year ago and within the first week was hit with a major family/financial issue.
I have a week's worth of food here so that is where I have started. As I have had this entire year to lurk and research, I have decided that alternatives are the way to go. I placed an order with Netrition that arrived last week.
I don't have any questions (yet) but wanted to stop by and say "hi."
Oh, and my ideas for staying on plan on the 4th? I want to try making the mock potato salad Lisa mentioned, and maybe even the cole slaw. We will be grilling, so my meat protein options will be easy.

I am going to a lobster boil this weekend. On my program on phase 1 we are allowed 8 ounces of meat, seafood etc. Lobster included.. I was wondering about how many pounds of lobster with the shell will end up equaling 8 oz of meat? I just need to get an idea what to buy because we are bringing our own lobster. Also any ideas what to season it with after it's cooked?
wow that didnt work? .lol I'm trying to figure out how to quote just a portion of a message.
At the very beginning of the quote there is a portion you can't delete
See the
at the end? There is one at the beginning too & it also contains the name if the person you're quoting. You have to leave that part when you're deleting parts.
For the coleslaw, I use WF slaw dressing. For the mock potato salad, I prefer chipotle mayo.

I like to use the Chipotle Ranch as a veggie dip. Love it with cucumbers.
Woooo hooooo! just got back from my 1st WI, down 6.6 lbs!!! I know its just the first week and the rest of the weeks will be less than that, but its definitely a great motivation. 24lbs to go....
Lisa, thanks for the info and I will look for the chipotle mayo, they didnt have it at my clinic. I did check out the WF stuff.
A1Texan, I am not a ranch fan, I like my cukes just with salt. I picked my first cukes from the garden this past weekend. I will pick a few more and green beans , they will be in my dinner plans today.

It depends on the type of lobster (soft shell vs. hard shell). Typically, it takes either 5 to 6 pounds of soft-shell lobsters or 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 pounds of hard-shell lobsters to make a pound of lobster meat. SO, you can cut those #s in 1/2 to get 8 ounces! YUM!

Hit the "quote" icon in the lower left hand corner...Simply delete the portion you do not want to include. Be sure to leave any "commands" ie words like
.
AND to multi quote (in case you haven't done this yet...) choose the icon next to "quote Icon". It's the one with a "+ signs on it...

Thanks for the help. I am learning my way around here.
