Weigh-in day -- I lost 4.5 lbs! So exciting!

I want to try to make the kale chips this weekend. My coach says they are really tasty -- even her grand kids like them.

So I`ve been thinking about switching to alternatives and not going back to my clinic, except to get the odd thing, since I found out the lady who does my weight and measure every week is quitting and ill be handed to a third person since i`ve started. Went to gnc to check out their bars, and bought one bar and one drink so i can compare them to ip. i bought a protein edge lite bar and the shake is gnc total lean. the guy there told me theyll be just the same as what im taking now but with more vitamins. Or I can get a container of powder mix for the shakes. Does anyone know about their items there, i know there is some that we can use but not exactly sure with ones.

Thank you for everyone's responses! It was lovely to come home to read them after a very tough first day. I thought it may happen, and warned my coach, but I am one of those lucky folks who get every nasty side effect and today was rough! I am off to make dinner (I decided to treat myself to some turnip fries, can't wait to try them!) and then sleep through the rest of this nastiness. I love seeing all the pics and great weigh ins; great motivation to stay the course!

I'm excited about these turkey sticks i found at the local Co-op. I thought they would be good to have for emergency protein since they don't need refrigeration but I wanted to see what you guys think. They are 1.7 oz and have 70 calories and 10g of protein for two sticks, no nitrates or MSG. The ingredients are turkey, sea salt, onion, coriander, mustard, black pepper, paprika, lactic acid, and celery juice. Do these sticks sound like they would be ok? Thanks!

have been unable to login due to getting a database error message up until now. Phew, so glad the problem is fixed!!

Had my WI yesterday, down 4 more pounds!

Thinking about going back to the rhubarb farm for more fresh rhubarb tomorrow, that will keep my busy on a Saturday as weekends tend to be quiet. I need to figure out activities for the weekends!

Can someone please let me know how the restricted foods have effected their weight lost. I have been reading some of the treads and people are saying that it slowed down their weight loss. Is that the same experience for you guys?

I always found this a struggle because my boys know I'm trying to eat healthier but it's a mixed message when they see me not eating fruit, carrots, milk, yogurt.... They are picky eaters to begin with so I'm always trying to get the fruit and dairy into them and then I don't have any..... it's a hard sell. Fortunately, mine are a bit older than yours and I can explain about natural sugars etc. and I think they get it.

I've been using a restricted a day and have lost every week for a total of 38.5 in 14 weeks. I don't think it has effected my losses.

Tell her why and set a goal she will like and support. I picked Disney. It works!

Their ready to drink drinks are what I use. I would be careful with their powders. Most I've looked at were too high in carbs. But they may have some I missed too.

W/O restricteds I would cheat. They're a good treat and help me stay on track.
