Default Paleon Bread

I have been seeing ads online for Paleo Bread. Could this be eaten in place of one IP packet in Phase I? Thanks!

No you can not have the paleo bread. It usually is made of almond flour (or some nut flour) and coconut flour. which are both not allowed on phase 1.

Thanks for your quick reply! However, I have read dieters' comments that say they ate it with no effect on weight loss. It has much lower carbs than some of the packets and is also low on fat and calories. Why do you think it would not be a good idea to eat it?

Paleo bread is NOT a substitute for an IP packet. Regardless of the ingredients, there is not enough protein to match what is in the IP packets - and it is the protein that is one of the keys to the IP diet. Any product that would be substituted for an IP packet needs to have at LEAST 12-15g protein per serving and be under 200 calories.

Also, just because some of the reviews say that some people have eaten it without having an effect against weight loss, it doesn't mean it's OK to have on the IP diet specifically - the Weight Watchers diet allows many things that are simply not compatible with the science of IP.
