First, M35A2, great self control. Wow, after all this time.
So, to report on day 1, because I need accountability.
Did it right thus far. 2 protein shakes, 1 protein bar, broccoli at lunch (will never ever take it raw again... it sucked, and it was hard to get down). For dinner, 2 salmon patties from Costco, no real additives, 8 oz. And 2 cups of mushrooms, measured before cooking. Day 1 out of the way. Will report again if I struggle during the first week.
Sorry to dominate the thread. I was wondering whether there was a protein or carb gram amount that they want you to reach or not exceed each day? Is there some number the coaches tell you? Day 2 went well. But I had a lot of yard work, and had an extra protein snack.
Previously in this thread, one of you said they were 19 and 0 for cheating. I think it is very wise to give yourself the momentum of keeping track. Today carbs all around me. Very tempted to take a piece of glazed chicken from the table. Almost rationalized one scrap, but remembered the advice. Not one slip up. 1 and 0.

One of the great things about IP is there's no keeping track of stuff. As long as you follow the protocol everything works. Of course it works at different speeds for different folks and isn't linear (meaning you won't lose a consistent amount each week). That being said, you definitly want extra protein when you're working out or out working in the yard. An extra non-restricted packet is fine. Someone also advised me early in my start (January) that if you are going to cheat do it with extra meat, i.e. more than your 8oz a day. Just don't do it with glazed anything
No problem about the questions. You are the first I remember that has started this with no coach. Most people roll off and go to alternatives right before they go bankrupt (a joke).
M35A is an iron-man when it comes to this!
You're on day 3, (that was my hardest) your body is out of easy to get sugar stores and says to your brain, don't make me go after fat-cells for energy I am to tired to do that and I have been storing them for years and I might have forgotten how to get them out of storage and says to your will 'EAT SOME BREAD and DO THIS LATER!'
Keep in control, keep your eye on the prize. And remember nothing taste better then skinny.

Never thought I could give up the booze, or stick to something this long!
You've got me by 23 days (I'm not going to calculate the rest). I just wonder if I'd been able to go this long on a diet 20 years ago. Of course I would have started around 195 so wouldn't have had as far to go but I was a lot more impetuous back then so probably would have cheated without giving it much thought. I guess there's something to be said about being older and wiser. Thanks to IP I should be able to get even olderer and wiserer .
Last 2 weeks of P1 and it finally happened - 0 pounds lost. At least there was no gain. Inches were down everywhere except waist which was .5" gain. This points to the antibiotics and resulting Bigger Than Normal Big C (with bloating). I'm hoping if that breaks there will be a big whoosh and I can make it up for the final P1 WI next Friday. No complaints about the loss - inches are probably more important the pounds, but I was really hoping to hit goal before moving to P2.

Hi Big: I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet to you but a really handy online tool that I use a lot is

This is my first time ever trying a diet. I only had a weight problem the last 5 years or so. I find that it is really not a diet as per say but what you eat is he plan. You don't starve or go hungry so I personaly don't think it hard to do at all. I also quit smoking which I found much harder to do then this. Almost 40 lbs in 6 weeks so far.

You will make it, it just has to happen.
Looks like I have four more WI on P1 myself. I have to have 3lbs/week loss to get to my goal, and I am starting to see that I could have shot for 5 more lbs in my goal to be closer to my optimum weight.
I am wanting to start excercising more heavily and seeing if I can sustain this, so I am going to push for my dates and be close to my goal vs obsess about the scale. I am already 120% more healthy than I was.
